My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there!  Aren't I handsome?  My family had to give me and my brother Darby (Boston Terrier) up due to financial reasons (medical bills for one of their children).  We miss them, but we are adjusting to our new foster home.  We love each other, but are still learning how to share our space with the other dogs and cats in our foster home.  We walk well on a leash, and do love our walks.  We go potty right away.  We like to hang out in the yard as well.  We love our "cookies" and toys.  My daddy used to call me by calling "Jean-Luuuuuuc".  I would get all excited!!  My coloring is just absolutely beautiful.  Won't you give my brother and I the forever home we so desperately miss?!  We love to lay on the couch with you if you'll let us!

Jean-Luc is a typical basset who is more than happy to get a belly rub or an ear rub.  Both at the same time equals a happy, groaning Basset Hound.  Don’t let his graying muzzle fool you- he still loves to play with a plush squeaky toy, and is ready to go for a walk at a moment’s notice!  He may decide to tell YOU that HE is ready for a walk- he is housetrained.  If he starts barking, it is likely because he’s telling you he has to go outside to go potty.  Good boy, Jean-Luc!  Jean-Luc has a healthy Basset appetite, and is waiting to curl up next to you on the couch to keep warm this winter!  He doesn’t even snore!
