My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lilly is a total sugar baby! She is sweet, silly, energetic, laid back & lovable. Yearns to be hugged, kissed & cuddled…after all what girl doesn’t. Very inquisitive about her surroundings Lilly likes to know what’s going on. On the go by day…couch potato by night. Taking a cautious / shy approach with anyone unfamiliar at first, but let her get to know you & she will give you her heart. Like everyone else in life she is just looking for a reason to trust.

At the fun age of 4 Lilly is a smart cookie who is knowledgeable in sit, paw & down. Striving to learn more she is willing do anything for something tasty. Our beautiful pittie has the cutest little “froggy” on the east coast you have ever seen. Being super affectionate Lilly wants you to know that she is absolutely a lap dog. She will take a flying leap across the room just to claim her spot next to you. She is more than happy to curl up with you anywhere, anytime…simply name the place & she’s there. The type of pup who naturally has to be touching you so she knows you aren’t going anywhere.

This cutie would love to slim down a little & get her girlish figure back. She needs your help sticking to a diet & obtaining a regular exercise routine. Starting off on your own health adventure? Lilly will accept the challenge & be your motivation to reach your goal. Think of how much fun it could be, you & Lilly taking on the world.

Hoping to be your one and only furry love Lilly prefers not to reside with other animals. Although she loves everyone…Lilly has decided that living with kids is just not for her & is looking for an adult only home. She vows to be your loyal companion through good & bad, sickness & in health, she will honor you all the days of her life. Lilly is hoping you will take a leap of fate & come meet her at the shelter. A match made in heaven is what she dreams of & a friend forever is what she will be…

Note: As with all of our dogs, we strongly recommend obedience classes for new owner and dog to create a life-long bond with the adopted dog based on trust, respect and rewarding training experiences. We are offering dog training classes through FMAS Wagtime Dog Training. You can check out more information at www.fmaswagtime.com. We can help you train practical skills you use every day with positive reinforcement training. Our shelter dogs are strays and we observe and assess their behavior at the shelter which may be somewhat different in a home environment. In addition dogs adopted from the Manchester Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped and have received their Rabies and distemper vaccinations as well as other necessary medical care such as flea treatment. All dogs are also heartworm tested. Some prudent care such as heartworm medication is not provided at the shelter and should be taken care of at the earliest convenience upon adoption.
