Finley is a very sweet and tail waggy, 9 lb., one-year-old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix rescued as an abandoned stray. He has a gorgeous, shiny black coat with really nice white markings. He looks like he is wearing a Tuxedo! Finley got used to the rescue’s routine very quickly. He enjoys his meals and sleeps very quietly in his crate throughout the night, and he also gives me no problems if I need to crate him intermittently throughout the day. He has not had a single potty accident here, (but I do walk the dogs out to the yard at regular intervals and stand there and wait). He has also not once lifted his leg in my house.
Finley loves to hang out in the same room as I am in, however, he has also been independent; I often find him sunning himself outside on the front porch with the other dogs, or on a pet bed nearby. He does not have to be glued to me. He has been GREAT with all of the other dogs here, both big and small, and he and Nolan love to play! (Ask me, and I will show you that video!) He has not been destructive, nor has he been caught digging; he is a fairly quiet guy with the exception of occasionally alert barking, which makes him a good watchdog. I often find him at the toy box, playing with different toys.
Finley is basically a loving dog who is fun, comical, whimsical, spritely and a joy to be around. He is very loving and sweet and is a constant tail wager, a really happy guy.
