Archie's Story...
Archie is a long haired miniature dachshund. He is estimated to be about 6-7 years old. Archie is working on growing back his gorgeous long haired coat that has been lost due to poor nutrition and care over his lifetime. Archie is the sweetest, most laid back dachshund. He is totally house trained, crate trained ( though this boy does not need to be crated) He loves to snuggle, loves to sleep with you( prefers this as most dachshunds do) Archie is microchipped, neutered and utd on his vaccines. He is also heartworm negative and current on his preventative. Archie would do best in a mature home with small mature dogs. ( no big dogs and no young children please) Applications for Archie can be found on our website at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Archie, a Arden Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Arden, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Arden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arden paves the way for another one to be saved.
