Hey everyone! It's Bambi from GLDR! I'm a sprightly eight-month-old Basenji mix who is ready to make you my whole world! I'm 30 pounds of pint-sized perfection with ears any pup would envy! After arriving at GLDR, I was lucky enough to have a two week "straycation". It was a nice opportunity to help prepare me for life in a home. Sadly, my foster time has ended and I'm back at the kennel waiting for my forever family to whisk me away to the life I deserve. In my foster home, I lived with other pups and young kids and absolutely love all of the attention I get from them. I played very well with the kids and other dogs and had my pick of all the toys you could ever ask for. I'm also very food-motivated and will happily take any treat you have to offer. My foster mom was able to take both toys and food away from me with no issues. As I'm still a young pup, I'll benefit from continued training and daily exercise as I grow. I'm not a fan of the cold weather, and am looking forward to warmer temps where I can work on my leash manners and explore everything that comes my way. I've gotten very comfortable riding in the car and look forward to all the places we can go together! At the end of a fun-filled day, I loved to snuggle up with my foster family and bury my face into their lap, appreciative for every moment with them. I slept quietly through the night in my crate, knowing just how fortunate I am to be with them. I'm also making excellent progress on my house-training and will have it down in no time! Based on their evaluation, my GLDR family thinks I'd do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages five and up. I may have the potential to live with other animals and am happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.
