Hello, I’m Nina, a precious and sweet albeit VERY shy female Chihuahua/Bichon Frise mix puppy. I am cautious around people in general and I don’t like loud noises or a lot of commotion, so I’m not sure if kids are a good fit for me! I admit that I follow mom everywhere but it’s not necessarily because I want her attention…I just want to know what she’s up to…unless she’s giving the other pups attention then…of course, I must be part of the action! Hee, hee!! I love playing with toys and eating treats and have even started taking treats from foster mom’s hand…YAY for me!! I am still working on potty training, I don’t have any experience with the leash, and I don’t like the kennel/crate. In fact, I will holler a LOT when I first go into the crate and randomly throughout the night so just for the record, you have been warned! Hee, hee!! Anyway, I have not met any cats or larger dogs, but I do well with smaller dogs like me and will need a companion and a fenced yard at my new home so we can safely explore and play! I am a super smart girl who already knows what “sit”, “stay”, “down”, “leave it”, & “go potty” all mean…all I need now is a fur-ever home with YOU! Hi, my name is Corbin and I am a very shy and timid puppy that is ready to find my forever people with patience, toys and lots of love to help me be the best I can be! I’m very afraid of being touched by humans but I do love them.  I’ve been brave enough to lick my foster mom’s hand but I’ll run away if you try to hold me or pick me up.  With time, lots of patience and love, I’ll get there.  I’m getting a little better every day but when things are scary, they’re really scary! You have to understand that I likely have never been in a loving home so sounds like the TV, clanking dishes, the horrible vacuum and lots of commotion might make me a little worried. I have shown foster mom that I do have some puppy antics in me, hee hee! I like to play with soft toys, run around the yard and wrestle with the other dogs in my foster home. So, it’ll be important that I have a good doggy role model in my forever home to help me learn that touch isn’t scary and keep learning. A social, well-balanced and confident dog is required. This means that my buddy will need to show me humans are safe, how to get on a potty routine and teach me which toys are the best! My fur-brother and the other dogs in my foster home have been amazing teachers! I am still working on my dog skills like potty training. We go outside on a routine, but I will still need of practice in my forever home. Foster mom wants to let you know that I am smart – I already know what “go potty” means! We tried kennel training, and oh boy, I will tell you how much I don’t like it! Bark bark! Foster mom uses gates for the dogs when she isn’t home. I also bark at her when she comes home – maybe I’m telling you I’m glad you’re home, or maybe I’m filling you in on what happened when you were away!  Also, a fenced yard is required as I don’t have a leash or tie-out experience. This is very important for potty training too. My foster mom said I’m fun, adorable, learns quickly and likes to play with other dogs and that I play hard!  Oh and that I have a wonderful appetite! I will let you know with a bark bark that I am excited for dinner! I'm a sweet and loving guy who just can't get enough of people and other dogs. Seriously, I'll wag my tail at anyone who gives me even a hint of attention! I'm a curious little explorer at heart, and nothing makes me happier than sniffing around and checking out every nook and cranny of my surroundings. Whether it's chasing after toys, romping around with my foster siblings (although they're not always up for it), or cuddling up with my favorite human, I'm always down for some fun. Speaking of toys, I'm a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to playthings. I love anything that squeaks, jingles, or crinkles—bonus points if it's extra loud! And treats? Oh boy, don't even get me started. I'll do just about anything for a tasty snack, and I'm always first in line when treat time rolls around. Now, let's talk about my training. I'm still working on mastering the art of potty training, but I'm getting better every day with a little help from my foster mom and a good schedule. But I’m still so timid that foster mom needs to pick me up and take me to my bowl and sit there so I don’t run off and hide under the bed.  Then she’ll carry me outside to do my business because I am too afraid.  But once I’m out there, and after I do my duty, I enjoy playing with my furster sister.  She really likes me and helps me know things.  We chew bones together and play.  I do need another dog and fenced yard.  I do prefer smaller ones like me and the opposite sex.  Also, I do like to guard my toys and bones.  A guy needs things of his own, amIright?!  So probably no small kids for now. I haven’t been on a leash yet because foster mom thinks I need to learn so much about being a dog that once I’m braver, we (or you) can help with that.  I also don’t have a crate here so I don’t know about that either.  As you can see there are things we need to work on together in my forever home. I know we will be a great team! All I need now is a forever family with lots of patience and love to help me be the best I can be! *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. We Bichons are known for our cheerful, kind, playful dispositions. That is exactly who my bestie (Jilly) and I are, with everyone we meet. We greet people with affection, joy, and eagerness to please. But we also need to stay with each other. Jilly’s the sillier, bolder one and she helps me approach new situations with more courage. I’m more laid back and a constant, calming influence on her. When we meet someone new, I’ll let Jilly lead the way and follow along, wagging my tail like crazy, hoping they’ll want to pet me. (And everyone loves to pet me.) My idea of the perfect family: We are the best of both worlds for a family who’s home a lot – but who may need to be out during the day. When you’re with us, you will be snuggled and followed around by your two loyal companions. When you’re away, we are calm, quiet, and happy because we’re together. When you can take us with you, we will hop into our car safety seat, let you buckle us in, and quietly enjoy the ride. Things that make me happy: I love trotting through the house, diving under blankets, exploring everything, getting long belly rubs, napping beside my humans with Jilly’s head resting on me, and giving kisses. I’m not into chew toys or dog treats, but I love mealtimes. (I love them a little too much. Portion control is important for me.) Crate-trained:  We don't like being shut in a crate or kennel with the door closed and will get vocal. The good news: when we need to be contained, we quietly hang out in our soft-side, open-top, cushioned octagon kennel, in our foster mom's room, with access to a hallway, and two wee pads. We haven't had an accident in that area for weeks.   Things I’m learning: I’ve discovered that I enjoy being outside and with encouragement, I’ve been learning that walking (even a little running) on a leash is fun. I’m also working on potty training, and showing continuous improvement going potty outside. I’ve gotten really good about using wee pads in the house but do still have accidents. Why us? Jilly’s bio said it for both of us: my foster family has owned and fostered many, many dogs over the years and they are unanimous about this: you will probably never meet another dog (not to mention a pair of dogs) who are more generous with their love and devotion for you. We love children. We love adults of all ages (even the groomer and the veterinarian).
