Story
Hi!! I'm Blanche The Bichon. I am 4 years old and I was surrendered from a commercial breeder. I've had a few litters of puppies but no more pups for me. I've been spayed and have all my vaccines. I am enjoying life in my new foster home. I'm a little timid and shy at first but I am learning what it's like to be loved. That petting thing is pretty nice. I really like the resident puppies here. We cuddle together. They have been teaching me what it's like to be a dog. I really like the warm jacket my foster mom put on me. It keeps me toasty warm. I'm learning to potty outside but sometimes I don't like going out in the cold. I am learning to follow my puppy friends outside. I've learned a lot so far but need a family who will be patient with me as I continue to learn. I really like to lounge. I enjoy being in my crate. I feel safe in there. I haven't quite figured out what toys are or how to play with them yet but I have such a sweet disposition. Blanche would do best in a home with another calm dog and no children under 12. A small fenced area would be best too as Blanche doesn't know how to walk on a leash yet. During her spay, we removed a small mammary tumor that was grade 1 cancer, but the good news is that it was caught early and the margins are all clear! Blanche is being fostered in Berks County. If you believe that Blanche might be a good fit for you, please apply at https://www.zoeshouserescue.com/adopt. Zoe's House Kennel #9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Ellie, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am sweet, give kisses and enjoy attention. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Story
Angel's Retreat recently took in 12 small breeder dogs from a mill that was shutting down. All of these dogs are small adults ranging from 3-7yrs old. These ladies have never lived in a home before and will need lots of love and TLC. They are not house trained. Most of them need extensive dental surgery as well as spays which will be covered by the rescue, but may require you to bring your adopted dog back to the rescue after adoption. These sweet girls deserve a second chance at life. If you can provide a quiet and loving home to one of these angels please apply at www.angelsretreat.org.
