Story
Simone is an 11-year-old black and tan hound. She is a tripod and only has three legs, due to an infection that had advanced too far by the time the rescue got to her. Simone needs a house with a lot of attention and company. She gets anxiety if she is left alone for too long which results in difficult behaviors. She will do well in a home with other dogs or cats. She gets along with pretty much everybody, but she does suffer from intense separation anxiety, and so she needs a house where she can get a lot of attention and presence. She is very affectionate and loving and just needs to find the right people.

Story
Leroy is coming to us from a NC shelter where he was in immediate danger of being euthanized. Several wonderful dogs lost their lives due to lack of space on the day we tagged him as a TRU pup. We will post more about him as his foster gets to know him!

Baby Clementine was rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia. She is staying with a nice foster family while searching for her forever home. Could that be with you? Clementine is your typical loving, playful and friendly puppy. She does GREAT with other dogs and loves everyone she meets. At her young age, she is in her prime for training and socialization. She will make a wonderful companion for an active person or family. Please remember that young babies require a lot of time, love, and patience to become the best doggie citizens they can be. Submit an application today and change this beauty's life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
Hey there! My name is Abby and I'm a loud girl with a lot of opinions, but that's because I love you giving me attention! No apartments for me please. I wanna play with you and be by your side, and I love playing with other dogs my size. I might be intimidated by bigger dogs and rougher play styles, but I show positive interest in other dogs. Because I'm young, the people at MCHS require that I get training as part of my adoption so I can become the best pup ever in your home! I love playing with you and less toys, but I am also very food motivated and can make dogs and human friends very easily! What do you think? Are we a match made in heaven? If so, fill out an application today!
