This boy is affectionate, sweet and playful. He walks lovely on leash and does his business. Jasper is strictly leash walked as he has proven to be an escape artist when left alone outside. If you're in a fenced yard with him he loves to play. We are working on recall but he thinks its a game. He is learning what toys are, so far sticks, frogs and insects are his toys. He was a stray for who knows how long but definitely knew love at one point. He does not play well with other dogs and needs to be the only canine. He might take a bit to warm up but once he does he is very loyal and sweet. His favorite place is at your feet.

Howdy, y’all! I’m a 3 month old pit/cur mix who came to Buffalo via Texas. My foster mom says I live up to my name, Sassafras, as I am a sweet little puppy girl with a bit of a sassy side. I absolutely love being close to my foster mom, playing and snuggling. I can be a bit shy meeting new people and dogs at first, but once I feel safe my wiggly puppy personality comes out. I have a TON of energy and love to play before I crash for a nap. I am doing really well with potty training as long as we stick to a routine. I am crate trained, just fussing a little bit when I’m first put in because I’d rather be with my person. Have I mentioned I really love to be close to someone, helping with everything you do.  My foster mom says I’m super smart. I’ve learned how to sit and she thinks it’s super cute I will sit and wait before we go back in the house after being outside.  I currently live with 4 cats that I really, really want to play with, but don’t seem to like being chased.
