Story
Silly Goose is a typical Texas country boy. He is sweet, gentle, loves the water, being outside, and loves being around the people he cares about most. Goose has this thing special thing about him where you’re not quite sure what it is but it instantly draws you to him and makes you feel calm and warm. It does take him a bit to want Up to new people but once he does he’s all Yours! Maybe it’s his sweet eyes that look at you with so much love in them, his cute floppy ears when they perk up or his radiating smile. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/dh3rTPFy77g?si=VlOeTrbJDxdCcYT6 Goose is a Black Mouth Cur mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 48 lbs and is fully grown! He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery. He is very dog friendly and did amazing meeting all of the dogs we introduced him too. He higher energy energy and will play for short burst with the other dogs but also knows when to take breaks. He is also very tolerant and is more of a submissive fella. He does have a higher prey drive, so no small scruffy dogs or kitty friends for Jason please. When he’s not playing with his doggy friends, you’ll typically find him in sitting in the back watching the other dogs play in the yard, out exploring and taking in the fresh air, chilling in the pool/pond, or loving on his humans. He has a really nice calming demeanor about him and a great balanced energy that could match a variety of different households. He would do great in home with a backyard where he can sunbathe and roll around in the grass. I do see Goose living his best life out in the country exploring with his people, swimming in the pond, catching butterflies with the kids, and sitting with you on the back porch watching the sunset. To our knowledge he is crate and potty trained but may need a reminder once he arrives to his new home. Goose will need someone willing to help him polish his leash skills and teach him basic manners. He is very treat motivated which will make training a breeze. He is not jumpy or mouthy and is very tolerant of physical touch. We believe he would make a great family dog with kids. We are willing to test Goose with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
This cutie is Daisy. She is currently 14 pounds, 13 weeks old, and we think they may be a Black Mouth Cur mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves her life as well as the life of another in its place. She's like the ultimate "Big Sister" to her little sister Petunia and foster sister Eenie. She's one of the sweetest and silliest pups ever. She loves to play and is always up for a good time. But be careful when you put her food dish down, she's a gobbler and will eat all her food and then look for more! But don't worry, she's satisfied with a small treat. They are on a strict schedule at their foster home, breakfast by 8, followed by playtime outside, lunch between 12-1, then nap time for a couple hours then back outside. Dinner is usually around 6:30, more playtime and bedtime no later than 8:30 She is a huge fan of a hard rubber ball, unstuffed toys and tug toys. Her favorite toy is one her sisters has. That cute little wrinkled face will melt your heart. Daisy is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Story
Lonzo is the steady, somewhat serious one of his litter – and he’s a big cuddly teddy bear. This solid puppy loves to play and wrestle with his siblings but is more watchful and curious of all that goes on around him. He’s also adventurous and not afraid to go off exploring on his own. Unless he’s sleeping. Which he does a LOT. Lonzo is really enjoying puppy life and we know you will too. Lonzo is sure to be a brave and loyal friend to whomever is lucky enough to adopt him. Lonzo has the softest brown coat, with a black snout, black ‘eyebrows’, and dark blue eyes that will surprise you every time they catch the light. This puppy has a lot of dark features, so that flash of blue will definitely make you look twice. Lonzo has the cutest white dot of fur on top of his nose, and a white stripe down his chin – an easy way to distinguish him from his other brown siblings. Lonzo’s soft floppy ears are also tipped in black and you will love to watch them as he bounces along in his puppy prance. His chest is white with a brown dot in the center – a literal bullseye for scratches and belly rubs, both of which he can’t resist. You are sure to be entertained by all of Lonzo’s classic puppy antics. He loves to jump and play with all eight (8!) of his siblings and would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention. This litter was born in care, and Lonzo is one of the three boys of this litter (that also has six girls). Lonzo is currently just 5 weeks old and only a few pounds, and we think he may be a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! Story
This big fella is so mellow and affectionate with everyone he meets. Every picture you take (if he’s not napping, that is) will highlight his fun and playful side – it looks like he’s always smiling and laughing. You can’t help but be charmed by this jolly fellow. Bastian might be the largest boy of the litter, but he handles his size with such poise and grace. He is a cheerful, gentle giant that loves to snuggle just as much as he loves to play with each of his siblings. Like most of his siblings, Bastian enjoys belly rubs and snuggles, so be prepared to provide lots of both! Bastian is mostly brown, with a black snout and nose. His black ‘eyebrows’ above his dark blue eyes only add to his expressiveness. Bastian has a tiny white patch just above and around his black nose, and another white patch at his chin. The white chin patch is surrounded by black on his neck – it almost looks like he has a black beard when he’s upside down, lol! Bastian has white at his chest and the cutest white ‘pedicure’ at each of his four paws. You are sure to be entertained by all of Bastian’s classic puppy antics. He loves to jump, roll, and play with all eight (8!) of his siblings and would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention. Story
Julia is one of the larger puppies in this litter, and possibly has the biggest heart. You can tell that this gentle, sweet soul will grow into a good size – she will be perfect for all sorts of adventures with you and have no problems keeping up. Gentle Julia is surprisingly delicate for her size; she’s actually quite deliberately dainty, and we love just watching her romp and play. Julia watches everything closely, and is quite playful and social. She adores a good belly rub and will catch your eye and roll over, just in case you were thinking about giving her one. (You definitely will – she’s irresistible!) Julia is mostly light brown and white, with dark ‘eyebrows’ that allow her to give you the most plaintive looks (here’s where the begging for belly rubs really kicks in). Her body is brown with white accents – all four legs have adorable knee-high white ‘boots’. Her tail is brown, except for the very tip, which is a white blur because this happy girl is always wagging her tail. Julia has a thick white stripe on her head blending into a white snout, neck, and belly. If you can resist her cheerful attitude and the cute little freckles on her belly, you are stronger-willed than us! You are sure to be entertained by all of Julia’s classic puppy antics. She loves to jump, roll, and play with all eight (8!) of her siblings and would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention. The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
