Story
Chappy is a little guy who came to us from a bad hoarding situation. He is very shy and needs a very patient and understanding adopter. He will snap/bite if he feels scared enough, but is actually very tolerant of handling (its just the initial "catch" that causes the most stress). He feels most confident when with another small, friendly dog, so is only available to a home with at least 1 other dog. He does not know how to "dog" yet and will need to be taught to trust humans and how to do things like walk on a leash or play with toys. Chappy is not available to a home with kids as he gets very overwhelmed by their high volume and quick movements. He should be considered a flight risk in his new home. He will likely need work on crate training and housebreaking.

Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.  Humphrey is no longer available for adoption, because of his declining health, SCMR feels it is in his best interest to keep him in his loving foster home for the time he has left.  A home that is familiar and where he enjoys his foster siblings.       If anyone would like to help sponsor his medical bills (treating his poly-arthritis), please feel free to send a donation, and be sure to let us know the donation is for him.  We will place your name on his website as a sponsor angel, if you would like.     Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. You can help make a difference one dog at a time. If you would like to sponsor one of our babies, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 2005, Chattanooga, TN 37409. We thank you for whatever you can help us with. Any donation is appreciated and is tax deductible, as allowed by law,  as we are a qualified non-profit 501(c)3 organization.    All our males are sent with BELLY BANDS!    for a one time Donation that goes direct to SCMR please go to our paypal link: April 20, 2024, 12:21 am

Story
Tater is a wise old poodle with a love for one thing above all else: sleeping. This gentle pup is happiest when he's curled up in his cozy dog bed, snuggled under a warm blanket and drifting off to sleep. He is a creature of comfort and knows how to make the most of his downtime. One of Tater's dearest friends is a lively poodle named Tot. These two have been inseparable for years and share a deep bond of love and loyalty. Tater may be older, but he has plenty of spunk and loves to play and explore the world with his best friend. As Tater and Tot are a bonded pair, they will need to be adopted together.
