Story
Hi there. My name is ORRIO (Oreo) and here is a bit of info about me:Breed: Border Collie / Labrador mixAge: 3 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 38 lbsHeight: tbd Left in the freezing cold in Lebanon to fend for themselves at a young age, I was found on the streets roaming around and looking for food in the garbage. Me and my best friend Ollio were constantly harassed by passerbys. We were threatened with being shot, if not removed. Thankfully, a rescuer came through for us. I was pregnant when found and since had 4 adorable puppies (they will be up for adoption later.) I was transferred to a boarding shelter until a home was found.  You will notice I am the calm, bright-eyed one. Very loyal and clever is this girl. I certainly enjoy snuggling, a real cuddle bug they call me. While I'd love to find a home with my pal Ollio, it is not a requirement. Energy Level: moderate I get along with:Dogs: yesCats:  noKids: no Prey drive: fairly high. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. Fears: none observed. Training: a bitLeash skills: Some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained:  No. Please be prepared to help me learn! Health notes: no health issues.I am spayed/neutered, vaccinated & microchipped. My adoption fee is $750.00. The adoption fee for me and my buddy Ollio together is $1000. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1374363##

My name is Jelly Bean, but you can call me by my nickname, Jiji. Here is a little info about me:Breed: Border Collie/Husky mixAge: 4 YearsGender: maleWeight: 17 kg currentlyHeight: 77 cmHighlight(s): gentle, kind, both active & calm Hi all, Jelly Bean here. I am a pretty unique looking boy as I have one brown eye and one blue eye. I was found seconds before being killed by mean people in a village in the Middle East. I don't know what I had done, but all I know is that people didn't like me to be around them.  Thanks to my amazing rescuers who believe in my gentle manner and kind soul. They are the reason why I got the second chance in life. I am looking for my forever home in Canada so I can experience the life I have always deserved.  I would love to have a relaxing home, where we can get out for hikes, yet chill like cucumbers at home too. I think we could build a lovely rapport without even talking. Just look into my eyes and you'll know my depth of love for you. Energy Level: moderate  I get along with:Dogs: yes, but selectiveCats: unsureKids: Yes! Check out my photos :) Fears: unknown/none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: NoneLeash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Not really. Please help me learn. I have been really good learning things! Health notes: I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  My adoption fee is $700 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Story
UPDATE: I am now in Canada and all ready to go to my forever home! I have been with a nice family, but then they had more family members move in and so the home became a bit small for all the humans and two dogs. My new foster says the same things about me that my past foster said - I am quiet and relaxed at home, I love the outdoors and dog parks and I'm a good leash walker. One of my biggest qualties is that I'm loyal. I will go to the window when my foster mom leaves and I'll watch her as she goes. I'll also hear her call when she returns and my tail starts to wag as I stand at the window and watch her return.  I am highly intelligent, 100% housetrained, and able to understand several commands including sit, heel, out, bed, stay. I also am known for really wanting to please my humans, although I am still feeling a bit nervous around some strangers, particularly men, when we're out walking. Given what I have learned so far in such a short time, I'm sure that I will learn to relax and trust humans who I don't know. While I like socializing with other dogs, at home I prefer being the only dog in a family. I can accept another dog being there but I'm not interested in a relationship with him/her, only with my humans. Also, given that I have a fairly sensitive personality which can cause me to feel nervous at times, I am not a good match for a home with kids and perhaps not a cat. Hi there, my name is GIGGLY and here is some info about me:Breed: Saluki/Border Collie mixAge: 2-1/2 yearsGender: maleWeight: 18 kgHeight: 50 cm Tossed out of a moving car in the Middle East when I was only two months old, a good Samaritan called the shelter and told the owner to go and find me in the bushes on the freeway. They literally had to go and search around where I was tossed to find me.  I am a very affectionate and happy dog with the humans to whom I'm close. I don't care much about connecting with other dogs - I can have a visit at the dog park and then be happy to go home with my human.  The staff named me Giggly. I always make everyone laugh, because I have so much energy and I do the funniest things at the shelter. Because I am in a shelter environment, there is no way to know about cats, but because of my high energy levels, the staff doesn’t think it would be a good idea for me to be around cats, as I might chase them. That is merely a guess though. Energy Level: moderate Get along with:Dogs, yesCats, unknown, though recommendation is noKids, no Prey drive: yes, with squirrels, rabbits, etc...  Fears: I am still fairly fearful of strangers when out on walks, particularly men. My response is to move away from them rather than to confront. Training: basic, but very eager to learn more & loves praise as he learns new thingsLeash skills: learning very quickly, accepts leash easily, learning heelHouse trained: yes Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD + applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. Hello there, my name is Maxwell. Sounds distinguished, doesn't it? Here are some facts about me:Breed: Border Collie/Lab mixAge: 3 years oldGender: maleWeight: 50 lbsHighlights: rather laid back, enthusiastic, playful, cuddly Skills: I am housetrained but I don't get much practice walking on a leash as I currently live on a farm where I have a lot of space to run around. I have a moderate energy level. I'm actually a fairly laid back kind of guy - I love to run and play outside and then come inside for a nice cuddle. I LOVE car rides and I love my food. This can make me responsive to treat rewards for learning new stuff but it also means that I like dining on my own so I can make sure that I don't miss out on any of my delicious food. Don't get me wrong, I do like to have other dogs to play with but perhaps not little dogs. For whatever reason, I'm wary of them but I love hanging out with dogs my own size or bigger. Please, I don't socialize with the feline types and I am a bit too rambunctious to make me a good companion for kids. My foster says I'm a great sleeper and then, when I wake up, I'm eager to get my day going. I would really love a big fenced yard and some loving humans to adopt me and then we can go on a whole bunch of exciting car trips. Would you like to join me! Health: I have been immunized, microchipped, and neutered. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.   Please contact Shane at shanekeepence@gmail.com  for more information or to adopt. Hi everyone, I am the intelligent Ollie and here's some info about me: Age: 8Breed: Border CollieWeight: 18 kgHeight: 24.5 inchesMale (neutered) Like most Border Collies,  I like playing catch, any agility type activities, rolling around in the grass, and appreciate having my own space at home. I usually prefer to initiate greetings with people myself. When new people approach me suddenly, I get a bit of a fright, but I'll be affectionate once you get to know me. Sometimes I guard my food and can react towards some dogs when walking on leash, so I would need a little help and patience while I learn to trust other people and dogs. I have nipped at someone in the past and had a near miss with an attempted bite recently as I guarded my food. Since I am a border collie, I pride myself in learning fast and I do even better when I receive praise. A trainer has already helped me with introductions to new people and I no longer feel I have to guard my food as much as I have in the past, staying calm when adults walk by when I'm eating. Unpredictable behaviour however still gets to me, so I would not be suitable for a household with children. An adoption fee of $100 applies. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.  Please contact shanekeepence@gmail.com  for more information or to adopt. ##1949434##

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Bada(means sea in Korean) He came to Korean city shelter, suffering from a front leg fracture. He had flies all over the leg, possibly because his wound were inflamed within the bandaged leg. After the rescue, the vet discovered that his bones were misaligned and needed to be realigned, necessitating a surgery. His bones have reattached properly and he became healthy again. Now, Bada is leaping around joyfully. 😊 * Keywords: #Gentle, #Super sociable #Lovespeople * Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 6 * Loves people so much! He is so lovely, always greeting people with a big smile. ❤ * Since he enjoys the time most of being loved, resting next to people, adopting him as a single pet would be preferable. He also enjoys his own time when needed. * Can be rough to other dogs who get too mischievous around him, so needs to watch his behavior! He got into a fight with another dog companion, whom he would sometimes go it to afterwards but his behavior got better after getting trained. *When Bada walks outside, he follows his walker without pulling on his leash! He sometimes stop moving forward if he is made to walk in places he doesn’t particularly enjoy. It will get better quickly if he gets trained under the guardianship of his future foster or forever family. *Can tolerate having ear cleaned, doesn’t make messes, and has no needless barking. *Occasionally, Bada is cautiously barking at outside noises. When his name is called, he stops. *He whimpers because he is not used to having his toenails clipped. With plenty of walking outside, his toenails need to be filed. * Has no car sickness.

Story
Spots is a unique and loving 4-year-old dog in need of a forever home. This charming canine is a fascinating mix of Border Collie and Basset Hound, resulting in a one-of-a-kind appearance and personality. Despite his unconventional breed mix, Spots's endearing qualities shine through. One of Spots's most notable traits is his resilience. Although he is mostly blind, he navigates his surroundings with remarkable adaptability. Spots's blindness doesn't hinder his zest for life; rather, it adds to his individuality and makes him all the more special.Spots does not seem to be the biggest fan of other dogs and would prefer to be the only pup in the home so he can have the spot light all to himself. Spots's personality is a delightful blend of the intelligence and agility characteristic of Border Collies, along with the laid-back and affectionate nature often found in Basset Hounds. He thrives on human companionship and eagerly seeks out affection from those around him. Spots is incredibly loyal and forms deep bonds with his caregivers. Because of this, Spots can become anxious when left alone. His future guardians will need to provide him with additional support in the form of separation anxiety training so Spots can learn to be just as comfortable on his own as he is with his people. If you're looking for a unique and lovable companion who will bring joy and companionship into your life, consider opening your heart and home to Spots. Together, you'll embark on a journey filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures.** PLEASE NOTE ** Dog meets and adoptions are by appointment only. Story
I'm Choa, 4-year–old –female Border Collie mix, a spirited pup with a story to tell. In 2020, I faced difficult at the City Center luckly, I was rescued right before being putting down and found my way to a training center where I've been thriving ever since. I might be a bit shy at first, but trust me, it won't take long for us to become fast friends. I've got a friendly and social nature, and I get along well with other dogs. I'm always up for a playdate, eager to make new friends, and I greet strangers with a wagging tail, ready for some fun. I'm not one to pick fights, even if other dogs try to provoke me. I find comfort and peace in the company of my furry pals, and being around them makes me feel secure. I'm a pro at walks—no pulling, just a steady companion by your side. After our stroll, I'm content to rest quietly, whether it's lounging around or cozying up in my kennel. I'm not much of a barker, and I don’t guard my food and happy to share my snacks with other dogs. I prefer doing my business outdoors for my bathroom breaks. I've got a calm energy that makes me a joy to have around. let's create wonderful memories together! If you're looking for a loyal companion who's overcome challenges and is ready to share a lifetime of love, look no further. Meet Baloo, an adorable and playful pup searching for his furever family! This real-life teddy bear is an affectionate and sensitive soul who loves people and just wants to be your best friend. Whether you're relaxing on the couch or spending time outdoors, he is happy to be by your side. Baloo is great with both dogs and kids, but hasn’t yet been tested with cats. He loves playing with toys (the plushier the better!) and enrichment puzzles, running in the yard, playfully wrestling with his sister Winnie, and climbing into your lap for pets and cuddles. Food is his biggest motivator, and he’ll do anything for a treat, which comes in handy with his training! Baloo’s been making great progress with both crate training and potty training and would really thrive with a family who is committed to helping him continue to develop these skills. If you’re looking for a sweet and loyal companion with so much love to give, Baloo is your guy! Baloo is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Winnie is a charming little lady who's bursting with cuteness and playful energy. Although she can be shy at first when meeting new people or exploring new places, she warms up quickly and is very affectionate. Winnie is both dog and kid friendly, but has not yet been tested with cats. She has a sweet disposition and a strong personality, which is evident when she's playing with the two boy pups in her foster home – she can really hold her own with them! Winnie is also a superstar in training. She's mastering potty training and crate training like a champ, sometimes even putting herself to bed when she's worn out from a fun-filled day. This well-rounded pup offers the perfect balance of active fun and cuddly couch time. She’d be happy to join you on adventures or curl up for a movie marathon. If you're looking for a loyal and fun-loving companion, Winnie is the one for you! Winnie is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1,000.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
If I have an approved adopter, I can come to Canada in late April, as I have a flight angel to bring me. Greetings everyone. My name is Meeya (Mia) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Australian Shepard/Canaan Dog mixAge: 7 moGender: femaleWeight: 7.5 kgHighlight(s): playful, happy, interactive, social, strong, and beautiful! Being a growing little girl. I love my food... and not only my food..  well many things in life, it's all so new. I love people, kids, and other dogs. People here in the Republic of Georgia know me as Warrior Mia (you will find out why shortly.)Discovered alone in the Republic of Georgia with my 3 other siblings during a flood, my mom never came back. Glad there were loving people who helped save us.I have recently recovered from the parvo virus. Because of me, many Georgians and foreigners in my country came together to help. All of them helped by checking in on me, ensuring I received everything needed... did I get my meals, my meds, and so on. Big thanks for all the nice people who helped me get all better!I enjoy playing with dogs and people, and with my brother Baloo (also posted.) I have probably a tad more get up and go than Baloo though. Strangers petting me is no problem. I will sit and wag my tail. Yup. Other things I love... water and playing with my siblings are a couple. I'm also hanging out with a couple adult dogs where I live too. I'm a social pup. I haven't had any cat communications yet though. My foster is working on my potty training, so hoping I'll be "in the know" better by the time I arrive in Canada. They have also been working leash training with me. https://youtube.com/shorts/v1_uGNe6hLQ, https://youtube.com/shorts/MQXSVWiC1vw, https://youtube.com/shorts/0CVzanZ_1AU, https://youtube.com/shorts/3kNjrUbKUwk, https://youtube.com/shorts/9dbcKC3Dnys. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: most likelyKids: yes Fears: none observed, except maybe Fireworks. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: very little, potty training in the worksLeash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: in process. Please help me continue to learn! Health notes: Parvo survivorI am too young yet to be spayed/neutered, but I will be vaccinated by the time I arrive. Spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the adopter and is required for my adoption to be finalized. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##1881916##
