Story
Chloe is a sweet, wonderful girl two year old border collie mix. She’s great with kids but would probably be best as the only dog in the home. There has been occasional aggression between her and our other dog and other dogs as well. We’re trying to rehome her because we had a surprise baby a year and a half ago and we recently moved to Minnesota and we just aren’t able to give her the home she deserves. We also don’t have a fenced in yard anymore and she hasn’t been able to be as active as she’s used to. She really is a great dog and it breaks our hearts to get rid of her but it’s for the best. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about her. She has not been fixed yet and as of today her Distemper booster is due but hopefully we’ll be able to get that addressed soon.

Story
Adoption Fee: $650, plus taxes Location: Foster Home Found wandering in rural Texas, Camille came to Minnesota missing her litter of puppies and feeling extremely timid. Her foster family (including 3 dogs) have spent the past few weeks showing her the joys of being a 2-year-old dog. Camille especially loves chasing and being chased with her foster family dogs in the back yard. She is extremely playful and when going outside she'll look back to make sure that someone is coming out with her. Camille's favorite people game is chasing a ball. Her puppy personality comes out when she runs after the ball then pounces on it. Once she's got the ball....well, we're still working on that part of the game. On daily family walks, Camille's walking on a leash skill is in its beginning stage. She doesn't tug, but weaves back and forth like she is checking the sights and smells on both sides of the sidewalk, often stopping which challenges the instant stopping skills of her foster family. Camille is house trained and not food insecure when it comes to eating meals and treats with the other dogs. Camille deserves a forever home with a family who enjoys being active and will be patient with her as she continues to learn how to be a happy and care-free dog. Camille is one years old, has been spayed, microchipped and is up-to-date on her vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Camille, please go to Carver Scott Humane Society's website and fill out an application.

Location: Rosemount, MN Are you a hugger? Me too! I give the bestest hugs you will ever receive Do you like to snuggle on the couch under a warm blanket with a bowl of popcorn and watch movies? Seriously? No way, me too! I just love hanging out with my foster family. Little kids, my adults and other dogs are the best . The cats are even cheering me on as I look for my very own forever home! Ok, so those little hissy girls don't really like to play with me but, can you blame me for trying? I mean afterall I am still a young pup at just a year old myself. I'm a good girl and just want to have some fun. Oh and did I mention how smart I am? Do you like making secret paw shakes? Me too!!! Let's meet up and create our very own. We can work on it together for many amazing years to come! For an adoption application on TUESDAY click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam1.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook!
