Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Axton! This sweet boy was one of the brightest kids in The DASH Prison Training Program where he brushed up on his house manners before he went to his current foster home. His foster mom said he's such a cuddle bug! In the program, he did well learning to walk on a leash and did not complain about being in his crate but would much rather be out snuggling with his people. He worked on "sit, down, stay, wait, & leave it." (Of course, continued work on these commands will keep him perfect)!  His handler said he is very intelligent, attentive, affectionate, and has become comfortable enough to snore in his sleep. Axton is a social boy, who seems to love all people, as well as other dogs! Axton also likes his toys and playing in water. He is energetic at play time but also loves when it's time to chill out. Axton did so well and consistent with practicing his basic commands, he moved on to tricks - He was learning to speak! He is ready for his new family. He's got his tuxedo on ready for his big day when he gets adopted. Let's not disappoint this good boy. Apply Today! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Zora has been waiting patiently for her forever home.  She has worked hard to learn basic commands, potty train and get ready to meet her person/s.  However, that day has not come.  This sweet baby is an active and intelligent girl, making her an ideal companion for active families. She's great with kids and gets along well with most dogs, but can be a little protective of her food and toys.  She loves to snuggle on the furniture, is eager to please and is a good-hearted girl. She is currently in the DASH Prison Training program and has learned basic commands like sit, stay, heel, down, free, wait and leave. Her trainer describes her as affectionate, loyal and loves to take walks and long naps on the bed. She is usually very quiet an loves to go for walks.  However she can be suspicious of new places and loud noises.   Zora doesn't know a stranger and is very social.  She has been known to bark at strangers, when she is playing and in her crate because she desperately wants to be with her people. If you're considering adopting Zora, be prepared for a long-term commitment and plenty of love and adventures. Let's make Zora's dream of a loving, forever home come true! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Looking for a fun, intelligent pup?! Meet pretty Luna. Luna is a border collie mix who is housebroken and good on a leash. This sweet girl came to DASH fearful and shy with little confidence.  She is making great strides in the DASH Prison Training Program. Her handler says " She can take a bit to warm up to you but once she does, it is worth the wait.  She is a good friend and pet".  She will do best with a family who responds in a calm, relaxed approach with a confident pack leader.  Luna can be protective of her toys and food. Because she is a border collie mix, she is highly intelligent, sometimes with higher energy levels, so an active family is best for this queen.  She is affectionate, loving & loyal.  Her current foster says she is the biggest snuggle bug & loves to be right next to her people although she is selective!! Luna is the perfect girl when given the time to settle in!! She's a great dog who just needs a chance with a family that has time for her. She will need time to decompress, with love & patience to show her she is safe & part of the family. Luna is not cat-friendly but is sociable with other K9's.  She has not been "kid tested" so proper meet & greets are always in order. We are excited and anticipate Luna finding her perfect home. Rescue Luna and she'll rescue you. Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Story
I acquired this dog from a rural shelter, where she was brought in as a stray with another young dog.The shelter said her adoption is final. So I am looking for a new home for Scout.I am getting her vacinated, parasite treatment and spayed. She has been microchipped and licensed. Not sure of age, older puppy/ young adult, may be a year? All adult teeth. Likes toys, eats well. She is a bit skittish outside. She loves to run, she is a bullet dog, very fast ( fenced in yard). I think she needs more focused training than I can give due to unforeseen health issues (mine, not hers). She attached quickly to me, very sweet, absolutely no aggression or guarding behavior with food, toys, treats, etc. She will bark, but she is a pretty quiet dog . she would probably become a great dog for agility ! She’s crated at night for sleeping. She has not been destructive of clothes, shoes, furniture. She really likes her nylabones. She is reserved with strangers (breed trait?) Just needs training.

Story
Everyone meet Willow. Willow has the most beautiful chocolate coat. She is currently 4 and a half years old and weighs appx 45lbs. Willow is spayed and completely house trained. Willow is out of all the puppy stages and is just a joy to have around. She gets along with all dogs big and small. Willow pulls a bit on leash but loves walks and is a great car riding companion. This girl can’t get enough belly rubs and is usually found walking around with a toy in her mouth. Willow can be a bit timid on meeting new people but it doesn’t take much to get her to warm up. She could use someone who’s going to be patient with her when meeting new people. Once adopted Willow will travel via Rescue Vet pet transport to a location closest to you. (transport cost is $160.00) If you would like to make this adorable girl part of your family please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
