Story
Raquel is a sweet gentle 8 year old border collie mix. She was found wandering with a badly infected eyes. One needed to be removed and the other the vet does not think she can see much out of her other eye. She is being fostered in a home with other dogs - some smaller and others bigger as well as a toddler. She gets along fine with everyone is just so calm and friendly. We would love for her to be spoiled in a home of her own. She is healthy, up to date on her shots, and spayed. She weighs about 30 pounds. She has no ongoing medical needs. Raquel would do best in a home with another dog that she can follow along but if placed as a single dog it will just take her more time to learn the space and how to get around and get in and out. A home with a fenced yard is ideal so she can enjoy the outdoors at her own pace. But she does walk well on a leash and loves to smell her way and enjoys the activity and being with her people. She also does good in the car. If you live in Canada within 3 hours of Toronto and would like to meet Raquel and learn about our foster to adopt program, please email our rescue at c4ptoronto@gmail.com.

Story
I'm Bandit, and I'm on a journey to find a forever family that will appreciate my loyalty and dedication. While I've had my share of challenges, I'm working hard on becoming the best version of myself, and I'm ready for the next adventure in life. I was surrendered to Dog Tales because I was protective of my family. It takes me some time to warm up to new people, but I've been putting in the effort and making lots of progress in my training. I'm a smart pup who's eager to learn and please my humans. I need a family who is committed to continuing my training journey, and I promise to give it my all. With the right guidance, I know I can be the best companion you've ever had. I can be selective with dogs, so it's important that any potential canine companions are a good fit for my personality. Plenty of playtime and fetch sessions are a must—I absolutely love playing with my people. I'm a pup who's always ready for the next adventure. Whether it's a game of fetch, a hike in the woods, or simply enjoying quality time together, I'm up for it. I'm excited to share my love, loyalty, and intelligence with a family who will appreciate all that I have to offer. If you're willing to invest time and effort into helping me become the best dog I can be, then together, we can create a future filled with love, training successes, and exciting adventures.

Story
This energetic boy is looking for a confident and active owner. Bairn is high energy and loves to keep busy! He enjoys going for runs, long walks, swimming and cuddling with his people. Bairn thrives with constant training and loves to learn new things - he is such a smarty pants! He is reactive to new people, dogs and some vehicles; he will need to be walked on a muzzle as a precaution. Bairn’s reactivity is decreased greatly with a combination of: draining his energy, always keeping distance from triggers, positive reinforcement for good behaviour, and constant training on his walks to occupy his mind and keep him in control. Bairn will need a dedicated owner to continue this with him long term. Bairn is not friendly with new people and will need slow controlled interactions when introducing him to a new person. Once he can trust you, he is a lovable and goofy guy. Patience and understanding can go a long way with Bairn and, in time, he will prove he is the best boy! He is only suitable in a house with a fully fenced yard with no small children or other dogs.

Story
Cucho was rescued from the streets of Mexico. He is initially very nervous of new people but is the sweetest most affectionate boy once he warms up. He is quite skittish in new situations and would do great with a doggy sibling of similar size and energy to help with his confidence. He is around a year old and weighs about 35 lbs. Cucho is being fostered in Whitby. If you are interested in adopting Cucho, please fill out an application by clicking on the Apply to Adopt Cucho link below.
