She is deeply loving and faithful but also very protective. She'd do best in a small family of adults only and no children or small animals. Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.   Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All puppies are also microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch.   We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Kona is a little bit shy, but very gentle and sweet. She loves to snuggle in your arms and give you kisses when you pick her up, and her fur is oh so soft! Kona was rescued when she was just a few weeks old, and grew up in a foster home with good vet care, food, and lots of love and attention. Her mama is a small/medium sized terrier mix around 30 lbs, and we think there is some Shar Pei in this litter from the dad's side, but Kona looks like an Aussie shepherd mixed with a little husky. She is sterilized, vaccinated and ready to find her forever family!
