Story
I love this dog. I’ve been told he is mainly border collie with some Australian Shepard. His birthday is December 27th, 2017 so he just turned 6. Unfortunately for several reasons, I’m opening up to the idea to see if he would be a better fit to b someone else. now have a 2 year old and an infant. The kids and augie don’t play well with each other. Augie gets way too excited for a ball and he can get rough with 2 kids around. He’s so smart and learns so quick! He’s potty trained but has an occasional accident when it’s raining because he doesn’t like to go out when it’s raining. He also had So much energy so someone with a lot of space would be great! He is cautious with almost everything at first but then opens up and is fine! With some training he would be the best dog but it’s not something I can provide him 😢 his favorite thing is fetch and balls.

Story
Dove is ready to find her forever home this 12 week collie/hound mix has a very sad past to share.  She, along with her littermates, found themselves trying to survive as tiny babies in a feral colony in the mountains of rural Virginia.  Some very kind people found out about them and was able to gather them all up to safety. The babies had a skin condition that took quite a while to treat, however, they are all healed up now, and ready for their happy ever after. Dove is a fiesty, sweet pup ready for her forever home. She had been with her brother and our family for 6 weeks and did well when introduced to a cat. She loves to be outside, running around in our fenced-in backyard. She is still adjusting to walking on a leash, but she is smart and learns fast. Willow is potty trained, except for accidents once in a while and is crate trained. She will be a great family addition!  Adoption application:  https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NARP/Dog Glenmoore PA 19343  Kennel license 16105 Dove joined us from Page County, Virginia   &#225&#180&#183&#225&#181&#137 &#226&#129&#191&#226&#129&#191 &#225&#181&#137&#203&#161   &#203&#161 &#226&#129&#177 &#225&#182&#156&#225&#181&#137 &#226&#129&#191 &#203&#162&#225&#181&#137 :    ¹&#226&#129&#182¹&#226&#129&#176&#226&#129&#181 &#225&#180&#190&#225&#180&#188   &#225&#180&#174&#225&#181&#146&#203&#163  ³&#226&#129&#176¹ &#225&#181&#129 &#202&#183 &#225&#182&#156 &#202&#176 &#203&#161&#225&#181&#131 &#226&#129&#191 &#225&#181&#136 ,  &#225&#180&#190&#225&#180&#172  ¹&#226&#129&#185&#226&#129&#180&#226&#129&#184&#226&#129&#176   &#225&#180&#183&#225&#181&#137 &#226&#129&#191&#226&#129&#191 &#225&#181&#137&#203&#161   &#203&#161 &#226&#129&#177 &#225&#182&#156&#225&#181&#137 &#226&#129&#191 &#203&#162&#225&#181&#137 :    ¹&#226&#129&#182¹&#226&#129&#176&#226&#129&#181 &#225&#180&#190&#225&#180&#188   &#225&#180&#174&#225&#181&#146&#203&#163  ³&#226&#129&#176¹ &#225&#181&#129 &#202&#183 &#225&#182&#156 &#202&#176 &#203&#161&#225&#181&#131 &#226&#129&#191 &#225&#181&#136 ,  &#225&#180&#190&#225&#180&#172  ¹&#226&#129&#185&#226&#129&#180&#226&#129&#184&#226&#129&#176 April 24, 2024, 2:49 pm

Story
KENNEL ID #01658&#226&#128&#139 Toby is obedient and learns commands very easily. He comes when called, knows basic commands and even knows a few tricks  He was initially adopted from Diane's as a young puppy, November 2023. His previous owners became concerned with his behavior towards their three children, ages 10-3. He growled and snapped at the children a few times. He was fine 99% of the time but it was extremely scary for their kids and not something the family wanted to work with. He has never displayed this behavior toward the wife or husband. We have not seen this behavior but have found him to be very leery of men. He is very head shy and will submissively urinate and tremble around them. He was clearly not properly socialized with a lot of people or other dogs. He is a timid boy but once you get to know him, he will be your best friend. Slow introductions are necessary with Toby, we continue to learn new traits about Toby every day. He would do best in a all female household with NO children. Thank you for your interest in rescue. If you would like to be considered for adoption please submit an application to adopt. APPLICATION TO ADOPT: https://form.jotform.com/240606049335150      If you have any questions regarding the adoption process please email:  dianespets1486@gmail.com April 25, 2024, 12:58 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Image growing up in a yard with a human throwing you food over a fence and pouring water in your already dirty water day after day.  The human never touched you or the other three dogs in the yard and you lived outside like this summer, winter spring and fall until finally 8 years into your life someone reported your owner to the authorities and they finally came to save you!  You found yourself placed in a box separate from the only friends you had ever known.  Taken to a noisy shelter, poked, probed, bathed and then stuck in a kennel alone.  WOW SCARY right???  Well that was the experience for Max's, his best friend Moose and his 2 other fur buddies.  Unfortunately the oldest of the 4 was quite ill and passed away :(   The other one was adopted and seems to be doing well.  Max's was very shut down until the shelter staff placed him with Moose and then they saw Max's come back to life!   We couldn't allow Max's to lose the only friend he has ever had on this earth so we are taking both boys and they will only be adopted as a bonded pair with a contract signed that they will NOT be separated!! Max's & Moose will have to learn to live in a home, walk on a leash and understand what it is like to be valued and actually LOVED by a human.  If you would like to be considered for the boys please fill out an adoption application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!April 15, 2024, 12:36 pm
