Merlin is a very handsome Border Collie mix. He is two years old and weighs about 42 lbs - not too big, not too small, just right! Merlin came to Humane Tomorrow as a very shy and fearful dog, and while new things still scare him a little, at home he is a totally normal dog now. He loves to run around in the backyard, playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He really must have another playful dog to help him settle in to his new home and feel comfortable. Merlin also needs lots of sturdy chew toys and he LOVES to play fetch (but he'll chew up a tennis ball in nothing flat, so Kong-type toys are best). Merlin is a smart dog, and he will sit perfectly when waiting for the nightly treats. He is ok going for short walks and car rides (but remember - new things do scare him). He will be perfectly content to play and exercise in his own backyard where it's safe and familiar. He's probably always going to startle at loud noises and be cautious around new people, but he's getting a little braver every day. Merlin will be fine with anyone once he gets to know them, but he can play a little rough so kids over 10 are probably best for him. Merlin is an affectionate, playful, devoted dog who just needs someone who accepts him for who he is.

He is learning about toys in his foster home and how to live inside. Finn LOVES people! He kissed the vet, the tech, and everyone in the waiting room at the vet clinic. Finn is very smart and catches on quickly to what you are teaching him. He will make a fabulous addition to the right family. Ralphie is a really sweet dog. Great with kids. Easy to walk - on or off leash. He gets along well with dogs. He is part border collie / cattle dog? He will be 6 in May. We have suspected and it's confirmed through an animal communicator that he would be happiest as the "right hand dog" to a person who wants to do everything with him and be by his side, as a partner in life. Running and hiking and car rides and adventures. He is smart and wants to be told what to do and to please you. He is looking for his "person". He loves and is loved by his family now but they are busy professionals and it isn't enough for him. He deserves a more active life. He has occasional epileptic seizures controlled by medication. (last one 3 mo. ago) We will pay for his medication to the person that will love him and give him the life he deserves. He can sit, stay, heel, place, search and retrieve, barks at delivery guys but not in the yard or car. Easy to take to a local outside cafe.

He loves to give you hugs ( all you have to do sit crouch down and open up your arms and he'll give you a big ole hug :) ) He loves to think hes small enough to be on your lap lol but is just a huge love bug. He is crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained. He also knows how to sit, lay down, give paw, and place. He is also very cat and dog friendly, and would need to go to a home with a yard and another friendly dog to play with. He has gotten along with all the dogs that he has met, so he will have no problem adjusting. He is such a very very sweet, funny, playful and well-mannered dog and will give you all the loving you can ask for.

Max is a smart, kind, loyal, and well behaved dog. I’ve been his only owner since he was 16 weeks old. He’s now 11 years old. The reason I’m rehoming him is our small children. When we had one he was always super gentle with him. But now that we have 2 and Max is a little older he is just a lot more clumsy with them. He is never ever malicious but has on several occasions rushed around near the kids and knocked them over pretty hard. We’re about to have another child and 3 small kids + 1 skidish dog + 1200 sq ft house is not going to end well. It pains me to rehome my dog of over a decade but he needs owners that have time for him. To take him on walks, cuddle him, and just have time for him. Being a working mom of almost 3 and having my kids constantly being run down by an 80 pound dog is taxing.

Dahlia is a 3 year old, 40 lb Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) mix. Foster mom says that Dahlia is absolutely perfect! She is such a well behaved dog and easy going. She is very shy at first and will need time to decompress in a new setting, but after a few days she will start to show her easy going personality. She LOVES people and will follow you wherever you go. Dahlia has the perfect temperament for kids, even littles. She is happy sleeping on the floor next to your bed at night. She also gets along with the dogs and cat that are in her current foster home. She is fully potty trained and can be trusted to roam the house if her people have to leave for a few hours. She loves to go on walks and does great on the leash, but be careful when introducing her to other dogs while on leash, as she does get anxious.. Other than that, she is guaranteed to be a great family dog as she is just full of love!
