Story
I'm Choa, 4-year–old –female Border Collie mix, a spirited pup with a story to tell. In 2020, I faced difficult at the City Center luckly, I was rescued right before being putting down and found my way to a training center where I've been thriving ever since. I might be a bit shy at first, but trust me, it won't take long for us to become fast friends. I've got a friendly and social nature, and I get along well with other dogs. I'm always up for a playdate, eager to make new friends, and I greet strangers with a wagging tail, ready for some fun. I'm not one to pick fights, even if other dogs try to provoke me. I find comfort and peace in the company of my furry pals, and being around them makes me feel secure. I'm a pro at walks—no pulling, just a steady companion by your side. After our stroll, I'm content to rest quietly, whether it's lounging around or cozying up in my kennel. I'm not much of a barker, and I don’t guard my food and happy to share my snacks with other dogs. I prefer doing my business outdoors for my bathroom breaks. I've got a calm energy that makes me a joy to have around. let's create wonderful memories together! If you're looking for a loyal companion who's overcome challenges and is ready to share a lifetime of love, look no further. Story
Disclaimer: I'm currently soaking up the Texas sun, but the great news is that I can be transported to my forever home once adopted, and the transport fee is $230.My journey began when I was surrendered, along with my four precious puppies, because my family couldn't provide the care I needed. I'm a bundle of energy and an incredible jumper! My foster mom thinks I have all the potential to excel in agility training courses. While I absolutely adore the company of other dogs, I'm not a fan of being on my own, so a home with a calmer dog would be a perfect fit to help me settle. I'm a social butterfly who cherishes my human companions and still carries that puppy-like spirit in my heart. In my previous home, I was raised alongside three children, aged 8 to 16, so I'm sure to thrive in an energetic family environment. If you're looking for a furry friend who's ready to embark on adventures with you, look no further. Apply today and let's make a fantastic team!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Maizy is a shortened version or nickname for the Scottish Gaelic name Mairead which means 'Pearl'. Having a pearl brings courage and strengthens the mind along with helping to wake each morning in a positive mood. Yep, I can certainly help with that!!! Just smiles all around with me here to help!!! I am a true sweetheart that is at that perfect age of around 2 years. I love people and get along great with all sizes, especially when I can get me some cuddle time, that's my favoritest time! I also do fabulously with the other foster pups, having a blast getting a good game of chase going. I'm sorry but I do have one down fall and that's cats. I will need to have a home that is cat free! I come in at around the 40lb area making me a pawsome size for any and all of our activities. I'm good with anything from leisurely to action packed!! AND I'm always ready no matter the time! Have you always wanted to have one of those precious gems? Having a real life 'Pearl' by your side is way better then wearing one!! Hurry and fill out my adoption application cuz this lil gem is ready for a home...with YOU!!

Story
Animal Profile: Nellie is an estimated 14-18 month old, 55 lb spayed female mixed breed (possibly border collie and shepherd) who was found as a stray in TX and taken in by our rescue partners. She is very social, friendly, playful with dogs, and good in the crate -- but loves to be with her humans. We will share more about her as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update: Nellie is a lovely young dog who is a wee bit nervous and could use help building her confidence. She has not been tested with cats or kids and because she can be nervous we don't recommend either while she's working on building her confidence,She is friendly and playful with other dogs once she warms up to them after slow introductions -- it can take a few days and multiple playdates. We are working on teaching her the Place and Out commands to curb resource guarding, as well as other exercises to build her confidence and calmness-- she is not aggressive with other dogs but does bark warnings to stay away from "her stuff".She loves, loves, loves being outside and is good on leash with very little pulling. Nellie is great in a car and ready for adventure-- she will be a great hiking/running buddy! She is a hard chewer, so will need harder toys. She has a cute little habit of stealing socks and hiding them in her crate-- she doesn't destroy them, she just likes to collect them. :) Inside the house she is low energy, but is always easy for a hike or bike ride or any other active adventure! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Nellie was transferred from Saving Shelter Strays in Texas arriving to Seattle area foster care on 3/8/24. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. April 24, 2024, 9:46 pm

Melody is to music what a scent is to the senses. According to Wikipedia the true goal of music—its proper enterprise—is melody and with your rhythm and lyrics added to my melody we can make beautiful music...together!! I'm around 2 years of age, that perfectly pawsome age where I'm out of the puppy destructive stage but still playfully active and ready for...everything from leisurely strolls to action packed adventures. I'm looking forward to dancing the night (or day is fine too) away to the music we'll be making! I come in at just 54lbs of pure love!! 54lbs of sweetness, 54lbs of doggie adoration, 54lbs of turning you to a pile of goo with my loving puppy dog eyes. What a great size for all our said music making!! I love people and get on well with the other doggies here. I would do good having a playful 'sibling' or getting all the attention as your one and only and I'm also already house trained which makes me a great candidate to become a fantastic family member where we can start making that music together, beautiful!! Are you seeking a BFF to be by your side thru thick and thin, a constant in your life to share in all your daily going on's? I AM that gal, just fill out my adoption application to add Melody to your Rhythm!!!

Story
Meet Roo (and her ears!)! Roo's personality is as big as those ears. She's friendly, outgoing, curious, playful, and up for any adventure. Roo's about 4-months-old and excited to go home with her new family! She's hoping her people are as energetic as she is and can provide her with plenty of daily play, exercise, enrichment, and socialization. She will make an awesome hiking buddy and together you two will have all sorts of adventures. Roo does well with other dogs, but we don't know how she is with cats, so any introductions to resident felines should be done slowly. Roo will likely do well with older kids who are comfortable around a large, jumpy puppy. If you're ready to welcome home this darling puparoo, send in an adoption application today! #playful #dogcompatible
