Meet Legacy! Legacy is a tough case. She's a 5 year old Border Collie that has had a tough life. She started off on a property with over 100 dogs. In order to survive, she had to fight for everything. As a result, she needs to be the only pet. She is also not good with kids as she is a resource guarder. While we can't blame her for her actions, she is a difficult placement. She would do best in a home with one or two adults, where she can come up for attention when she wants it and be allowed to walk away and be left alone when that is what she prefers. I also do fabulously with the other foster pups, having a blast getting a good game of chase going. I'm sorry but I do have one down fall and that's cats. I will need to have a home that is cat free! Carl is good with my son who is a young teenager. My son picked him out from a litter that my mom from her dogs but he stayed at my mom's. My mom became hospitalized therefore, we have to rehome Carl and a couple of his friends as we cannot have that many dogs. Carl is a good boy but he is young and has lots of energy due to his breed and age. He loves getting petted and aying with toys. He is around 2 years old.He needs a loving home where he can get exercise and lots of.love and attention. This breed is known to be one of the smartest dogs.

I feel he would do best in a situation where he had lost of room to run and play and doesn’t have to be kenneled much. He is very playful with both of my boys but I am not sure how he would do around other animals as I have not had him around them. I am wanting to rehome him simply because my family and I travel a lot during the weekends for sports and other events and he doesn’t do very well being kenneled for long periods of time.
