Story
Five year old Max was surrendered to the Hollister Animal Shelter. From talking with the Shelter staff, Max was not a stranger to them. His original owner left Max and his brother with a friend who surrendered them to the shelter when they were very young. The boys were adopted out. In 2023 they came back to the Shelter as strays. Again they were adopted out but came back to the Shelter this January as an owner surrender because of a bite incident. The shelter felt there was something odd about the bite report because they could not verify the the report with the "victim". Max is a sweet little boy who is a little hand and new people shy. Once he gets to know you he just wants to be close to his person. He gets along with other dogs. He is learning how to take treats from your fingers gently. He is current with his vaccinations, is neutered and micro-chipped and has tested negative for heartworms. He gets very nervous about being closed in small spaces and crates. We think that because he was in so many homes as a young dog, he has some separation anxiety about being left alone. Max needs a family who is patient and understanding and can give this little guy time for the diamond inside to emerge and shine. Is that your family? Please note: Max would do best as an only childMax is nervous around men and womenMax has some separation anxietyMax needs lots of exerciseNeeds a securely fenced yardMore information & application [ts=1713855691&src=aap]

Story
Looks like: Terrier mix Female, 7 years old (estimated), 29 pounds Lolita is ready to be the star of your house! This adorable little lady loves to go for walks around the neighborhood or for a fun run on the beach! She has lived with cats and gets along with some dogs in the home. She can be possessive over food and beds at times, so would do best in a home with dogs who are ok with her sassy terrier tendencies, or where she can shine as a solo dog! We don't know quite yet how she is with children. This absolute sweetheart is ready to hop on your lap and give you all the kisses you could ever ask for! This sweet girl finds herself searching for her forever home after her guardian sadly passed away.
