Canela is the perfect size and personality! She is a petite girl at 48lbs and can do all the things a big dog can. She's also the perfect age of 6 years old, past her puppy nonsense, a great companion in the home, but can also step it up for walks, hikes, and adventures. She has been in foster for a few weeks and is thriving. She’s super friendly, good with kids, good on leash and crate-trained. Canela is a particularly friendly girl and may try to crawl in your lap. She's got the sweets of the boxer and smarts of the GSD graduating from the K9 Youth obedience program at her time in the shelter with flying colors. Jodi is currently fostered in a home with two lovely humans and 3 other large dogs. She can do well in a pack setting with polite dogs including small dogs, or can happily live as an only dog. She's crate trained, house trained, and perfecting her leash skills. She joins the weekly leash training class and playgroup social. Jodi is a quirky, sweet, loving gal and can't wait to meet you! We adopted Canelo at the Upland Animal Shelter when he was 8 weeks old. I was diagnosed with cancer 1 1/2 months later. It has become very challenging to take care of him with me being sick all the time. He’s a good doggy , he just needs someone to walk him and play with him. He was born September 25th, 2023, and is now 6 months old. He deserves a good home, lots of love and attention. Unfortunately, I’m too tired to walk him and I sleep through most of the day. My immune system is very compromised and with no eyelashes or nose hairs I’m allergic to everything. I hope someone can take him home and give him all the attention he deserves.
