Story
I am looking for a forever family! Please CLICK HERE Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Jet is such a sweet, happy boy and doesn't need any help coming out of his shell! He has lots of puppy energy and loves to romp around and play with squeaky toys and LOVES to chew bones. He is very food motivated and already sits for treats so I think future training will be a piece of cake. We've only had a couple accidents inside but as soon as he realized he got a treat for going potty outside, he had no trouble getting on board. He goes into his crate for a treat and when he eats meals, no problem. He doesn't love the crate and cries at first, but settles quickly. Since he's an older puppy, he's still learning cues from my dog and doesn't always listen when she tells him she's all done. So, another high energy playmate would be a better fit! (Mine is a basset and she just can't keep up haha) Jet has a high prey drive around my cats so a place with no kitties would probably be best. He is just learning how to settle and snuggle and once he realizes that's what we were doing, he becomes a gooey cuddly boy. Overall, he's a goofy lover and will be a great fit for the right home!

Story
Hi! My name is Ramona. I am SO snuggly and friendly. I haven’t met anyone yet that I don’t want to give a hug to I have the cutest underbite that melts hearts. I’m gentle, smart, and good with all other dogs I’ve met. I’m so very soft and petting me is amazing. Some of my favorite things to do include:-Standing super close to my foster mom’s face and waiting for snuggles.-I love to jump up on the couch with my foster family and cuddle. I don’t take up much room but I love to sit really close to you.-I love treats and I am learning from the other dogs to sit and wait my turn.-I love to play with toys and go explore outside in the yard.-I love playing with my pup friends and other foster dog brother. It’s so fun to run around the yard and play chase with them. I’m silly and think it’s fun to throw toys around and pounce on them! I’m finding sticks to be fun too! I do like to sneak shoes or things I shouldn’t, but I am easily redirected!I am housetrained and do a good job of going outside. I live with other pups in my foster home so I go out often!I haven’t had much experience walking on a leash yet but do pretty well. It will take some patience from loving humans to build trust with that part, but I’m sure I’ll do great! It helps when I walk along with a pup friend.I sleep in my crate at night and when my foster family isn’t home. I go in happily with a treat and love my cozy bed. I love seeing humans in the mornings and greeting my dog friends when we get up for the day! I am an early riser but I’m working on sleeping later.Overall, I’m a fun, silly, affectionate, and playful pup. I will be such a sweet addition to just the right family! Can’t wait to meet you!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $475To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi, I'm Jolee! I'm a sweet, loving dog and I am so happy to be here in Minnesota with a foster family! I was found on the side of the road in Alabama and I'd been hit by a car. The wonderful people at the rescue took care of me until I was healthy enough to come to MN!I am a beautiful dog with sweet, loving eyes. I am housetrained! And I walk well on a leash. I get to go for a walk or hike every day here and I love it! It's fun to smell new things and I walk nicely along with my foster Mom the whole time. I am doing well with kennel training. I am in there while my foster family is gone during the day and I sleep in there quietly all night.I love affection and I will cuddle right up next to (or onto you) to get pets. There are three kids in my household (12, 14 and 16) and I get along great with them. I love to wrestle with them or relax with them while they read books or watch TV. I also love to run, chase and play with other dogs. I've met a few in my time here and have gotten along well with all of them. I can be very fast and I like to play fetch. I like to play with toys, ones that squeak and toys I can chew on are my favorite!I am a great dog! My foster family says I'm a great mix of playful and laid back. I like to go for walks, play and run but I also love to relax, take naps and hang out in the house. I have a lot of love to give and I cannot wait to find my forever family! Could that be you? Please apply, I can't wait to meet you!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Wondering how I’m still available?  Me too!  I might seem high maintenance being I need a fenced yard and another dog to play with in my forever home but I see it as making it easier for you.  You can just open the door and out we go to potty and play! You’ll find me to be super playful and incredibly sweet.  I enjoy cuddling with both people and dogs.  I’ve not quite gotten brave enough to check out the cat that is here.  So far the closest I’ve gotten is a sniff in the air. I’m potty trained (unless you rely on using a leash, where I’ll hold it until I’m back inside, which is why I’m asking for a fenced yard). Perhaps we can work on using a leash together as I have a tendency to pull.  But I do know some commands, such as “sit, kennel and outside.”  Speaking of which, I know how to use a kennel but I’m not a fan of one.  I also have been known to bark at strangers out the windows and when you come back home.  I don’t count the times I bark when other dogs start it.  I’m just playing along.  Here is a summary of what foster-mom says: “She's absolutely perfect. Still young and playful but loves to be a couch potato and cuddle. She loves to get super close and tuck her head into your neck. She loves other dogs but needs to take it slow with dogs who are over friendly and get in her face. She does warm up eventually though. She's eager to learn and would benefit from training, especially good recall training as she does love to run.” Do you think we would be a good fit? *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi! I’m Colton, the silliest boxer boy there ever was. I live for toys and I trot around like a champion and show it off to my humans when I find a good one. I also love to go on walks with my human. We are working on not pulling on the leash and I am a quick learner but do need a reminder once in awhile. I am potty and crate trained. I would do best in a home with an active owner and a female dog.  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.
