Story
Hank has been with us for a while. Poor boy has been here since Oct 2021. He loves to play. He loves attention. He loves treats (who doesn't?). Hank is a really sweet boy. He is getting really stressed living the kennel life, though. This boy needs a home, with a yard and a family to call his own. He has not had many inquiries, he does not seem to be a fan-favorite for reasons we don’t understand, and the kennel life is not meant for him - or really any dog for that matter. Hank is a young loving boy who would be able to grow more in a forever home, or even a foster, to keep him free of stress, to allow him to unleash his crazy, puppy-like self. For a young guy, he has great recall and has been open to welcoming female dogs to play with him. MUST be dog experience, not for a first-time dog owner Name: Hank Breed: boxer mix Weight: 60lbs Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Age: 4.5 years old Medical(shots): Up to date Good with dogs: VERY selective, must be ONLY pet Good with cats: No Good with strangers: yes with proper introductions Guarding issues: yes with food with other dogs but good with people House trained: yes Crate trained : yes Destructive: not at all Leash skills: Good! Due to his trachea he must be walked on a harness only! Okay with manipulations: yes Known commands: sit, lay, paw working on stay and leave it Behaviour issues: guards his food from other dogs but will let me take it Medical issues: damaged trachea Other observations: Hank is very people happy and loves to meet dog friends with the proper introductions. Loves to run so needs space and proper excerise. Good off leash once bonded and can have with excellent recall when properly trained. Loves car rides. He is snuggly, loves to be in your lap. Loves his toys and will carry them on walks or when he goes outside. Not for a first time dog owner. Will need someone with patience and time to continue working with him. He has been in a kennel for almost 3 years. So please understand he will need someone willing to help him decompress from the kennel environment. Once he's comfortable with you and knows you, he's really a sweet boy with a big heart. Hence why we call him our goofball! Hank is all about cuddling and playtime!

Story
Sonic comes by his name honestly, as his tail can literately wag at sonic speed!!! This is one of the happiest dogs and does not know the definition of a stranger. His perfect home has no small animals and no male dogs, he does like playful friendly female dogs after a proper introductions. He would love a fenced yard and some playful children who could throw a ball for him. His owners will be devoted to taking this boy for some classes so that he may become the most well behaved family pet ever. Once you meet him, good luck not falling in love.

Story
This girl comes by her name honestly, she really is as sweet as Honey. She has been through lots in her short little life, yet has come out still wanting to love people. She has come to us as a stray who was completely emaciated and broken down. With lots of love from staff and volunteers this girl is like a different dog than the one who came in. Her perfect home has a fenced yard for her to safely play in, respectful older children, it can have a friendly dog and a savvy cat. With a bit of socializing and love this girl is going to thrive and make a family so happy to call her theirs!

Story
Angus has so much energy, that if someone can bottle it up they could power a whole city with it!!! This guy is perpetually happy and does not know what a stranger is, everyone is his BFF. His perfect home has very active owners who are willing to take Angus to some obedience classes so he become the bestest boy ever. He seems to love most friendly dogs, he is way to rambunctious for cats and he loves children but they will need to be comfortable with energetic dogs that may bump into them. With a bit of structure this live wire of a guy is going to thrive!
