Story
Nelli (or Nelli Belly) is a sweet, spayed ,10-year-old female who enjoys daily walks, playing fetch, and car rides.   Nelli’s mom was a Brittany but she takes after her Border Collie dad in size (48 pounds) and looks.  Nelli’s new family should be active and prepared to commit to throwing a ball for her and including her in their activities.   She is quite agile and energetic and will need a home with a yard secured by a  6-foot fence.  She is house trained, knows several commands, and is good with guests. Nelli is currently living with a foster family that includes two adults and an older male Brittany. Nelli is well-behaved and has been left loose in the house with no problems. She keeps tabs on her people and likes to lay by her foster mom’s chair when she works from home. Ideally her family would be home more often than not, perhaps retired or working remotely. Other dogs may be ok as long as they aren’t too alpha.  Nelli would love to have a dog to play with who understands and accepts her vocalizing while playing.  Nelli’s experience with cats is unknown.  Her behavior around children is also not known, although her foster family suggests she would be best in a home with active adults that could include older children. Nelli is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  Nelli’s adoption fee is $175.00 which helps to offset our vetting and allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Nelli a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been reviewed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.  Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.   Nelli is eligible to be transported through our canine railroad up to 1400 miles from Boise with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.April 25, 2024, 12:45 am

Story
Copper is an 8 year old gentleman with good manners. He is very friendly and relaxed and enjoys being close to you so he can get all the love, but also respects your space and is content to lay down at your feet when you’re done.  He loves being outside and playing with his foster Brittany sister and would enjoy having a furry friend or two in the house. He’s also just fine being your one and only pup. Copper needs daily exercise and loves to go on walks.  He does well on a leash but could use a little training when passing other dogs – he is very vocal and barks but does not lunge or make any moves against them.  Cooper needs a home with a securely fenced yard with a 6 foot physical fence so he can safely run zoomies. After a nice walk he is happy to be a snoozer for most of the day. At bedtime he likes to sleep in the bedroom with you but appreciates his own space and sleeps on his bed on the floor.  Copper rides very well in the car and doesn’t seem to get nervous or have anxiety about going for a car ride.  He does very well being brushed and while getting a bath. He doesn’t counter surf, get into the trash, or chew on things other than his toys, even while unattended. He greets people well and with love and doesn’t jump up even though he’s excited. He is eager to be everyone's best friend and would love to be yours. Copper’s adoption fee is $350 which helps to offset our vetting and allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  He is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  If you are interested in making Copper a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab. Copper is eligible to be transported through our canine railroad up to 1400 miles from Salt Lake City with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.    April 25, 2024, 12:45 am

Story
Dixon is a 4.5-year-old cutie who came into rescue after being abandoned at a boarding kennel by his prior owners. He has settled into his new foster home and quickly learned the rules.  He is crate trained, house trained, and understands the words “outside” (when he heads for the back door,) and “treats” (when he heads for the kitchen and sits, waiting for his reward).    Dixon is a very friendly boy with people and dogs. He goes into his crate and sleeps there all night without any fuss. Of course, Dixon would rather sleep on a dog bed next to your bed or on the bed if you let him.  Indeed, Dixon thinks he is a lap dog and loves nothing better than to cuddle with his humans.  Of course, he waits patiently to be invited onto your lap. Dixon will need a home with a yard surrounded by a secure 6-foot physical fence.  He is on squirrel patrol from sun up to sundown.  When he wakes in the morning, he heads for the door at warp speed to get outside to see if he can catch the squirrel eating his nuts.  He will patiently sit and wait for the squirrel to come down the tree.  He loves to be outside and take his foster mom to the back door on “show me” so he can go check on his squirrel.   While in the kennel environment, Dixon didn’t get as much exercise as he needed so he put on weight and is currently getting the daily walks he needs to get back in shape and explore his surroundings.  Anyone adopting Dixon will be expected to continue that daily exercise. Dixon is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $400 which helps to offset our vetting and allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Dixon a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab. Dixon is eligible to be transported through our canine railroad up to 1400 miles from Salt Lake City with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.April 25, 2024, 12:45 am

Story
Pippin is a 2-year-old super ball of energy.  He loves, loves, loves to play with other dogs!  He brings toys to his doggy friends inviting them for a game of tug-of-war.  Indeed, Pippin never met a toy he didn’t like – kongs, stuffies, etc.   And, did we say, Pippin loves people too, including mature children. Pippin needs to be in a home with another pup who also loves to play - he seriously wants to play all day.  He also needs a very active adopter who will give him daily exercise and understands the energy level of Brittanys.  Pippin needs a home with a yard that is secured by a 6-foot physical fence so he can safely play and run zoomies.  Pippin is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.   He is house/crate trained and knows basic commands like sit and touch.  His new family should plan to continue his training. Pippin’s adoption fee is $400.00 which helps to offset our vetting and allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Pippin a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab. Pippin is eligible to be transported through our canine railroad up to 1400 miles from Salt Lake City with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.April 25, 2024, 12:45 am

Story
Ember is a sweet, one-year old Brittany/English pointer mix.  She was severely emaciated when we got her but she has gained weight and is so appreciative of the great care she is getting in her foster home. Ember is a real love bug and will find the smallest space on your lap or in your chair that allows her to cuddle with you (she thinks she is a lap dog).  Ember absolutely loves people and other dogs and would do also do well with older kids in the home.  She is house-trained and crate-trained.  Ember needs to be with an adopter who has the time to give her the love and attention she craves and needs.  Ember also needs an active household that will give her the daily exercise she requires.  Ember’s new home should have a yard (secured by a physical 6-ft fence) for her to romp in.  She would love to have a running buddy and another dog to play with in her new home.   Ember is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $325.00 which helps to offset our vetting and allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Ember a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab. Ember is eligible to be transported through our canine railroad up to 1400 miles from Salt Lake City with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.  April 25, 2024, 12:45 am
