Story
Chulo is a rescue that I found 2 years ago, that I originally fostered, but ultimately adopting since we fell in love with him. He LOVES butt scratches and nibbling on bones. He plays well with other dogs and enjoys going for walks and Troy parks. He is very obedient and is well trained. Unfortunately as Chulo has gotten older, he has been trying to be the dominant male in the household which is not going well with my older male dog despite how much they love to cuddle with each other. He currently lives in a children-free home, but never had an issue when kids came over so I think he will do well with kids. He is a snoring sausage that is looking for his happily ever after.

Story
Luna is a great dog, great companion and super fun and active. She is great with kids and she has been very good with our other dog. She is NOT good with small animals. She is very reactive to cats and chickens that I am aware of. Likely more small animals as well. She cannot go to a home with small animals as well.

Story
La-La needs a Fur-ever Home We adopted beautiful Lala in September 2023 from Oakland Animal Services. Lala is a small, 58-pound pitbull made of PURE LOVE. She’s attentive, affectionate, and has shown to be trainable. She’s also house trained and likes spending most of her time lounging in the yard or inside with us. She doesn't like long walks but is a big fan of playing with tennis balls. Unfortunately we need to rehome Lala because she needs to be in a home without young children or other pets (she’s very fond of men in particular). She would do well with older kids! She’s an amazing dog and has a long wonderful life ahead of her, which is why we’re looking for her perfect match! Lala deserves so much love because she gives so much love! After we adopted Lala, we discovered a cancerous tumor. Our amazing vet was able to remove the tumor and now she is totally cancer free! Lala will make a fantastic addition to a home where she can thrive!

We adopted Lexi 4 years ago from our local PALS rescue, she is now 6. She loves all things family, kids, dog parks and LOVES to swim. She is great with other pets and loves to cuddle. We would like her to be inside, she scares easily from the wind but is the greatest family dog.

Story
OMG is this one precious girl….Paris is a four month old female Boxer/Shepard mix puppy. At this time she weighs 19 lbs. and we expect she could get to be 51 - 62 lb. when she is fully grown. She is full of energy and curiosity. She loves to play with other dogs. She is good with kids too. Paris likes all kinds of toys and Tug of War is one of her favorite games. She will definitely need a home with a yard to run around in and burn off some of her puppy energy. When she is finished with her puppy shots, walks will also be a must. If hiking is your thing, Paris would be a great companion to go exploring with. If you love the beach, then bring her along for the fun. And when the day is done, Paris is there to snuggle up with her best friend for a movie and a piece of popcorn too! Paris is currently staying in a foster home to help her learn about family life so she will be ready for her forever home. Paris is current on her vaccinations is micro-chipped and is scheduled to spayed. If you're looking to add lots of love and enjoyment to your life, Paris just might be exactly what you are looking for! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
