Story
Meet this handsome senior fella named Vegas! He was surrendered over to the shelter by his owner on January 6, 2023 because he was getting nippy. He is 10 years old, current on shots, already neutered, and deserving of a wonderful life to enjoy his “golden years” being a loved and pampered pup in a home. Don’t let his age deceive you…he has a lot of pep in his strep. When he gets excited he gets the zoomies (just like a puppy) and that is when he can get nippy. Just being playful. While on the leash for a walk he walks perfectly. Owner said he needs a home without other dogs and no cats. Since he can get a little over excited and can be a little nippy (in a playful way) would be best in a home without children. He’s handsome and sweet and with the right person he will thrive and make someone a sweet pup! Visit with Vegas today and adopt him into your heart and home!

Story
Meet this SWEETHEART named Toby! He was surrendered over to animal control and brought into the shelter July 18, 2023 when owner couldn’t keep him any longer. He came in sad and down on his luck. He is such a sweet boy, gentle, fun, loving, easy going, but full of love and life to share. Toby is 7 years old, current on shots, and will make someone or a family a fabulous pup if given a chance. He is settling into “shelter life” but hopes his stay isn’t too long. He’s a good boy missing his home life setting. He has played with a female pup at the shelter and had a blast. Maybe you need more love in your life and in your home? Meet Toby he may be just what you have been needing! Open up your heart and home to Toby today!!

Story
Looking for a new fur baby? Why not adopt the handsome and playful Rowdy! This adult male dog (4 years old and up to date on shots) is friendly, affectionate, smart, and gentle, and he's definitely a charmer - he even loves giving kisses! Rowdy is a well-rounded pup, full of energy and excitement, and he's always up for playtime or a walk. Came in as a stray March 22, 2024. His family has to be missing him…he’s the total package. Just soaking up body rubs is extra awesome for Rowdy and be ready for sweet kisses in exchange. He's a quick learner and is already trained in a few basic commands, so he's sure to be a breeze to add to your family. If you're ready to welcome Rowdy into your heart and home, please come and meet him today - he's sure to steal your heart with his adorable and irresistible charm and sweetness. If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home. In order to adopt any of our "bully breeds" there is special paper work that will need to be collected and approved prior to the adoption. We love all of our dogs and want to make sure to place our "bully babies" in homes best suited for them.
