Not good with kids, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Avery was surrendered to our care because her previous family moved to a home with stairs. Avery is blind, deaf and has orthopedic issues. That may sound like a lot, but she is truly the most resilient girl. Avery is a staff favourite and is super playful, goofy and cuddly. She will do just about anything for a treat and has the cutest pep in her step. Avery likes to walk and enjoys the outdoors, but also appreciates a comfy nap. Due to her visual and hearing impairment she can be reactive and lunge when meeting new people or dogs. It’s important her adopter takes things slow for introductions. Avery needs consistency and to feel safe in these situations. Dog Tales will provide her family with training before and after she is adopted to ensure a smooth transition. Her family would need to visit frequently to get to know each other. Avery’s ideal home would be quiet with no children. She can potentially live with a social, non-confrontational dog. They would need to meet several times to ensure they get along.

Story
Meet Max a young, approximately 3 year old Cane Corso mix pup who is looking for a very specific and special home. Please read and make sure you meet his adoption criteria before applying.Max's Adoption Criteria?Active but patient and calm family that is willing to give him plenty of exercise· Experience handling large breed dogs and committed to continuing his training· Home in a quiet neighbourhood or country setting with a fully fenced yard · No children or other pets in the homeWe are looking for an active but calm family that will be dedicated to helping him control his energy and excitement while continuing his training. He takes on the energy of those around him so would do best in a quiet and calm home. His new family should be prepared to spend time outdoors and going for walks to help manage his energy levels. There should be no children in the home or visiting regularly because he can be mouthy and pushy when excited. He should also be the only pet in the home at least initially. He can sometime be frightened of loud noises so a quiet neighbourhood or country setting would be preferred. And a home with a fully fenced yard so he can get plenty of exercise in addition to his regular walks. We believe that Max's behaviour will continue to improve matched with a forever family that is willing to continue working on his obedience training. Potential adopters for Max should expect to visit him a few times once pre-approved and work with his current trainer to help with knowledge transfer before taking him home. Please read Max's full profile on the Special Dog page of our website and if you are interested in adopting him submit a Special Dog application found on his Special Dog page.If you have questions about the adoption process or Max please contact his adoption coordinator at: emd.ehs@gmail.com

Story
Hi my name is Angel and I am looking for a family and home where I can be alone and be spoiled. I am extremely loving, big goofy girl. I love to play with mommy and daddy. They have 3 grandkids. I follow them around with one of my toys and asking them to play with me. I'm very gentle. I love sleeping and cuddling with them on the couch. I'm their shadow whenever they are here. I do get along with cats. I really don't like to share my time with other dogs. I live with my actual brother from the litter after me, another female, their son and my daughter. I have a strong personality where I want to be the boss. Unfortunately I can't live with them. I cause too much disarray for my mommy and daddy. I have had one litter last fall where I had 13 puppies. I was an amazing mom. I had to wait until I finished my mommy duties and get my vaccines up to date, I I am on a list for being neutered. If you have any further questions, please reach out and answers will be provided.
