Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › We’re searching for a new forever home for our sweet girl Louise (Lu, Big Lu, Loony, Goo, Goonie, Gooigi, Wu Wu, Weezy). Louise is a 5 year old, 60-pound Carolina dog with some Staffordshire terrier and some Great Pyrenees. She has been a beloved member of our family since 2018, but her world was rocked in 2020 with the arrival of our son and the onset of Covid isolation. Louise struggles with anxiety and is reactive towards other dogs, two traits that got worse after a couple years of not seeing other people or dogs on a daily basis. Over the past 5 years, and with a renewed focus in the last 2 years, we’ve worked with several trainers on her reactivity to make her happier and more peaceful in our toddler-focused home. Unfortunately, we’ve come to the heartbreaking decision that Lu will likely be happier in a family without small children or other dogs.Louise is a goofy lady who loves nothing more than a good snuggle with her dad, following you around the house in case you need a friend to pet, trying to chase squirrels (or even birds!) on walks around our neighborhood, and occasionally joining mom on a very slow jog (she’d love to go faster if you can handle it!) She’s never met a person she doesn’t love - including most older children! Louise does not currently get along with other dogs, but used to be a big fan of the dog park and her furry friends. She is up to date on all her shots, in great health, and fully house trained. While she hasn’t slept in a crate in a few years, she could likely get used to it again! We’re finding Louise a new home now because our growing family can’t provide the focused attention she deserves, and because Louise and our older dog still do not get along, especially around food or other resources (like space on the couch or attention from mom). We feel confident that with the combination of some dedicated training, a home with no other dogs or small children, and dog parents with more free time to spend helping her learn, Louise could really thrive—and she deserves a happy, fulfilling, and stress-free life.In lieu of a rehoming fee, we ask that you make a $100 donation to Saving Grace, Louise’s first home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 12:00 pm

Story
I have came to the decision that the best case for Gatsby is to find him another home. Gatsby is dog aggressive, and cat aggressive. I moved about a year ago now into a home with other dogs, we have tried everything to try to get him more comfortable with being around dogs by walking them on a leash together, roaming the house in a muzzle, seeing them through a crate, and we have ran out of options. Gatsby is 5 years old, UTD on vaccines, house trained, crate trained and neutered. As he is animal aggressive, he absolutely loves all humans including kids of any age! The most absolute cuddle bug ever, loves sleeping right next to you in bed, and on the couch. Loves his stuffed animals, will not tear them up. He will play fetch all day long! He is amazing on walks, loves hiking, he is not reactive towards dogs on leash when walking by them, it is only when he is off leash. He is great in the car as well! If you have any further questions or would like to meet him, please reach out!
