Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Jasper. That’s probably not my real name because my story is unfortunately a lot like many other unwanted pets. I was left to fend for myself not knowing where my next meal would be. Luckily I was rescued and given my chance to shine. I have proven that I really really love people regardless of my early start with humans. I want to be loved so much that I will beg for just a head rub and lap snuggles. Yes I’m a big strong boy but I’m really a small lap dog disguised in a hound dog body. Do I give slobbery kisses, why yes, is there a problem with that? I love to run and play but if given a choice I’d rather be by my persons side. I would make a great adventure companion. Riding shotgun by your side wherever you go, that would be my doggie dream. Currently I share a foster home with lots of other all size dogs but I would really like to be your only ride or die dog. I’ve gone so long without one on one attention that I’m constantly competing for the attention. Am I perfect? Heck no but I’m a diamond in the rough, clay ready to be molded. I’m looking for my person who is ready to be my furever person. One who will love me and never give up on me. I’ve been waiting a long time to just be loved. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 13, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
Meet Tessa. A 40 pound gorgeous blue Merle Catahoula mix. She has one blue eye and one brown eye making her very striking. She's extremely sweet and affectionate. She is gentle as well. She meets new people gently and seeks out attention from them. She has been with other dogs and done great. She's also met a cat and done very well. Tessa is also potty trained and crate trained. She does love to play toys in the yard and gets the cutest zoomies. She is pretty good on leash but does pull sometimes and we are working on that. She's going to make a great family dog for somebody. Tessa can climb chain link fence so she cannot have a fenced area that's consisting of chain link All our dogs/cats are vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, on preventions, and spayed/neutered if old enough. Story
Meet Orieana   Orieana is a 2-year-old Catahoula hound mix with a heart as big as her story. We’ve known her since she was just an itty-bitty puppy, and while she was once adopted, she sadly found her way back to us a year later. She’s now been waiting almost another year, patiently hoping for the right person to finally give her the forever home she deserves.   This girl is truly something special. Orieana has wonderful manners and a gentle, loving nature. She’s incredibly social—she lights up when meeting new people and forms deep, meaningful bonds with her humans. Because she loves so hard, she can be a little protective of those she’s closest to, but it comes from a place of pure devotion.   She enjoys playing with other dogs and would love a canine companion, though she does best when toys aren’t shared. More than anything, Orieana just wants to be loved and included.   After being overlooked for so long, this sweet girl is more than ready for her second chance. She’s been waiting patiently for someone to see her for who she is—a loyal, affectionate, and deserving companion.   Orieana isn’t just looking for a home… she’s waiting for her person.     Apply at mmahrescue.org Adoption fee $300 Our hospital is open for adoption visitation Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 5:00pm and Saturday's from 8:00am to 11:00am.  If you have any questions please feel free to call us at             919-266-8177 or email pets4adoption@bellsouth.net.  All adoption fees are cash or check only, we do not accept credit cards for adoption fees. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hi I'm known as Momma! My estimated DOB is March 2019, I may be considered a senior but I still have plenty of spunk left.  Right now I am just thankful to my fosters for helping me and my 2 puppies Poe and Ty and Pawfect Match for also rescuing me. You see I lived as a stray for over 6 years out and about, no home, no family, no medical care.  I stayed in an abandon building on someone's property and ate what I could find yet the property owners would not let me be saved. The nice neighbor(my fosters) never gave up and recently I had another litter of puppies(Poe and Ty) and I moved to another abandon building near the property where my now fosters would talk to Momma to build her trust.  Then one day the fosters were outside and both puppies who were just learning to walk crossed into their yard and Momma followed behind.  The Foster allowed Momma and the 2 puppies to shelter in their home and they were reported as found strays and no one claimed them. Now part of Pawfect Match we are ready for our forever homes!   Pupdate: Momma spent some time at a temp foster and did amazing meeting new people and dogs.  She is a go with the flow type of gal.  She loves to just lounge around on a comfy dog bed, outside in the sun or shade and even liked babysitting the fosters grandson while in his playpen.  Momma did great in a crate, ate meals in her crate, takes treats gently and is a slow pace walker.  She loves pets, she will come stand by you but is patient waiting for you to pet her. When you stop petting her she will gently nudge you for more pets.  Momma is just the sweetest!  The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.  All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age.  Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Please go to https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/search? and search on the dog name to see more photos, browse the profile, and complete an application      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 9, 2026, 9:52 pm
