You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello!  Let me introduce myself.  My name is Waffles. You may have read about me in another post on FB that talked about my sickness.  It’s true; I have chronic kidney disease because my kidneys are kinda small and don’t work so well.  What does that mean?  I need to have fluids weekly to flush out toxins in my body.  I don’t like getting poked, but it makes me feel better so I put up with it!  I also eat a prescription food for dogs with kidney issues and need to have my blood checked every few months.  But aside from that I am one of the happiest doggies you’ll ever meet!  I love everyone.  I also love to play with chew toys and other dogs that like to play.  I entertain myself by throwing my toys around and chasing after them.  I’m a kinda in-your-face pup, and some dogs don’t like that.  So I guess I’d have to meet your other doggies to be sure they would want to play with me.  Oh, and I should tell you I steal slippers and Kleenex, hee hee!  My foster mom is always checking to make sure her slippers are safe and no Kleenex is laying around.   A DNA test was done on me because my foster mom wanted to know about any breed link to my kidney issue.  Well, it turns out I am more than 1/3 King Charles Cavalier Spaniel [which explains my need to ‘hunt’], ¼ Chihuahua, and some Bluetick Coonhound, Toy Fox Terrier, and Rat Terrier mixed in to add some pazazz to my genetics!  I know I don’t look like most King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, but my genes don’t lie.     I would love to meet you and see if we could maybe become a family.  What do you say?   Waffles is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, crate trained, and potty trained.  He receives SQ fluids weekly.  Waffles is not neutered at this time due to his chronic kidney disease.  It is possible that he can be neutered in the future if his kidney values are stable; however, he would still be high-risk for the surgery. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
