Story
Lucy is snuggly and quite curious. She loves chasing tennis balls and gets along well with her siblings. * Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Brad and Scout King Charles Cavalier-Dachshund-Chihuahua Mix Background Brad and Scout are sweet 2-year-old male brothers who were pulled from a hoarding raid with their siblings and many other dogs. Both are neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and healthy.  Brad is approx. 12 pounds. Scout is approximately 11 pounds. They love to run and chase one another in the backyard, play with toys, chew their split deer antlers, and cuddle together by a fire or heater or sun themselves on the lawn. they have the sweetest personalities and are so easy to fall in love with What Brad and Scout Need These boys need rescue dog-savvy humans who have a ton of love to give and will be patient as each dog learns to relax in their new home and comes to their humans on their own terms, who will not push them and just love them unconditionally. they are young and have a full life ahead of them to be your BFF's. With love and patience, you will have two very loving and devoted fur buddies. Brad is the most outgoing Brad loves to sleep with me at night and bury under the covers, fall asleep in my arms and be in my lap. Brad is super loving with the person he bonds with and wants to cuddle and be with you where you are. Scout is still very cautious and shy and needs time to come around on his own. he loves to be talked to and will take treats. We think once he is out of a busy, often chaotic rescue scenario and in a warm and loving home, he will come out of his shell with his new family. Brad has personality in spades.  Brad will be shy and reticent at first. Once he realizes you are a friend, he will start to trust you, Then take him to bed and by morning you will have a new best friend. Brad wants to follow you everywhere and where he goes Scout goes. You can see Scout wants to be loved and petted as well, he is just so shy at the rescue. How To Meet and Adopt The Boys have been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate Their adopters on proper diet and nutrition for them.   To apply to adopt Brad and Scout they have a $950.00 adoption fee.   All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs.  Please fill out the online application using the link.                                                                                                                                                                            Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.   https :// rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2024, 9:43 pm
