Story
Trisha is the sweetest girl who is an 8y (9 in June) old yellow lab from the Amish. She absolutely loves to be pet and be near people, she's crate trained and potty trained for the most part, she hasn't had any accidents in the crate but drinks alot so she has to pee frequently when she's not crated. She has no idea what toys are unfortunately so someone who will just enjoy her company or take her for walks would be her style. She needs some leash manners as she spent her life in a kennel and isn't too familiar with being on one but has been great on the long lead in the yard, she doesn't push boundaries. She is really just a sweet girl who wants her own person to give all her love to. Trisha has showed she would prefer to be the only dog in the house but does get along with her foster homes dogs. Story
Meet Martha! Martha May is a 2 year old Labrador Retriever who was surrendered after not being able to have puppies. She's the happiest and friendliest girl with goofy lab energy. She loves to explore and romp around the backyard, and thoroughly enjoys playing tug and wrestling with her foster brother. Martha is friendly with dogs, cats, and children. She can be found carrying around a stuffed animal, and can be a bit mouthy while playing- she's still learning! For this reason, a home with older children is preferred. Martha is a food-motivated and has learned how to sit, as well as sleep in a crate at night and when unsupervised. She whines for a few minutes when you put her back into the crate, but next thing you know, she's taking a snooze. She's made great progress in housebreaking, but is still learning. Regression is common in new environments. Martha is a curious girl when she's out on a walk, and enjoys sniffing her surroundings without pulling on the leash. Her butt wiggles with every step she takes! Martha loves to be around her people and her pals. This sweet yellow girl is looking for a forever family who will play fetch, take her on walks, and let her be her goofy self. She should go to a home with a fenced-in yard, and would love the company of another dog. Please apply if you meet the requirements above! Martha is UTD on shots and is spayed. She is being fostered in Philadelphia, PA and all applicants need to be willing to travel to meet her with all resident dogs. Kennel license # 9117 Po box 2372 Reading pa 19608

Story
Hi there! I am Nico your happy go lucky Labrador puppy. I came to Zoe's House after some changes in my family. I am on the smaller size but have typical Labrador energy. I settle down after running around and then I just want to hang with any human or dog. I love toys but stuffy toys will be chewed up if no one is watching. Otherwise I very much like a bone or hard chew toy. My foster mom gives them to me in my kennel to help pass the time. I love just leaning on my human and K9 friends. My foster mom gives me puzzle toys. Those are the best. I am so smart I do them very quickly. I am working on patience, and learning to use my manners. My foster mom makes me sit and wait before getting my food and when I come out of my kennel. I eat my food really fast so I need to be fed with a slow feeder bowl. I am a Labrador so food and toys are very motivating to me. Good thing I do not chew on blankets so I can have something soft to lay on in my kennel. Being outside is a favorite of mine but I do pick up sticks and a few rocks. I would really love a forever home that will continue to help me learn to be a good boy. My best friend is the goldendoodle in my foster home. He is big and we play rough. I do have a few smaller 4-legged friends in my foster home but I am a little rough with them and would probably do best with friends my size or a little bigger. Since I am still young and learning I would do best with 2 legged friends that were 6 and over. My foster mom is teaching me to sit and be calm but I just get so excited I might knock down a little one. Leash manners are a work in progress. I promise to be a good boy and keep trying! My foster mom is able to bath me, brush me, and look in my ears and eyes. Potty training is going well but remember accidents are common in transition. Overall I am just a young boy that wants to keep learning how to be a good dog! Will you be my forever friend to help me do that! Nico is up to date on vaccines, neutered, on monthly preventatives and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Nico please apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com Any potential adopter will need to be willing to travel to York, PA with all family members and current dogs. Remember processing applications can take several weeks. Kennel License 9117 PO Box 2372 Reading, PA 19608
