Story
Rosie is a sweet little 9lb chihuahua mix. She loves people and welcomes all the belly rubs and attention she can get! Rosie does well with older respectful children. Rosie does have a very slight limp, but that doesn't slow her down a bit! She loves to chase squirrels and run around the yard and play. Rosie loves other dogs and her ideal home would have another doggy playmate around her size. Rosie ideal home would have a fenced yard, but not required.. She is house broken, and a steady routine in her new home will help her stay on track. Rosie is a little love bug and always looking to please. She will make a wonderful addition to a loving home! Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.  We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. Story
Max is a very lovable dog with a great personality. He is happiest when he is around his people, but he is also ok hanging out by himself or in his crate. He is always happy to see you and he likes to cuddle and be pet for short periods.  He likes to play fetch and keep away for short periods too. He loves long walks and he will do anything for treat!  Max is house broken and happily sleeps in his crate at night. Max would do best in home without small children. He does not really like to be picked up, although he will let you if he trusts you and respect his boundaries. He will tell you when he does not want to be touched, but he has not shown any signs of aggression. Max is an all-around great dog who would make a wonderful companion. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Story
Meet Buddy, your cuddly shadow!  This charming 2-year-old Chihuahua mix is a hidden gem waiting to shine. While he might be a bit shy at first, his shyness melts away once he gets to know you. He'll become your constant companion, following you around the house and showering you with love.  Here's what makes Buddy special: Loyal and loving: Once he trusts you, he'll be your best friend, never wanting to leave your side. Good with other dogs: Whether big or small, Buddy enjoys the company of his canine friends. Leash-trained pro: He walks like a champ on a leash, but remember a harness or martingale collar is best as loud noises can startle him. Snuggle buddy extraordinaire: He loves nothing more than curling up next to you for a good cuddle session. House trained: As with all dogs, he will need to learn your schedule. But he does great in his foster home. If you're looking for a loving, loyal friend who will be your constant companion and cuddle buddy, Buddy might just be your perfect match! Apply to meet him today and discover the love waiting to blossom!   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. Story
This itty-bitty is Evie.  She is just a pleaser!   True to the breed she attachs to her person and wants to be with them all the time.  Her perfect day is curly up on the couch next to her person.  She is potty-trained  and sleeps in a crate all night without complaint.  Evie gets along with other dogs but would be perfectly fine not sharing her person with anyone. She can be leary of men at first but warms up quickly.    Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. Story
Marin is a very sweet, older Chihuahua mix. He was found as a stray so we don't know for sure, but our best guess is that he is about 8 years old, fairly young for a Chihuahua. 10 pounds. He loves to get petted, he's overwhelmed here in the shelter. Marin is looking for a patient, calm family that can give him time to adjust to life in his new home. Because of his nervousness, he should be considered a flight risk. Marin is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm disease and his adoption fee includes a voucher for the neuter.
