Story
Buck is a beautiful but shy 1 year old chihuahua (maybe mixed?). Buck came from a horrific hoarding situation so he can be timid at first especially around teenage males so he will a patient home who will give him his space while he adjusts. Because of his past, walking on leash to potty is still new for him so a home with a fenced in yard would be ideal. He is doing well with house training. He is crate trained but can get scared in the crate so we would recommend allowing him free roam. He is not destructive at his foster home and mostly spends the day sleeping on the couch. He is dog, cat, and pig friendly. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, prevention and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250. Story
Hi my name is Panda and up until now I’ve not had an easy life. I have not told my foster family everything that happened but I did tell them that I recently had a litter of puppies and lost all but one of them because I was not given enough food myself to make milk to feed my babies. The one baby I did manage to save is thriving thankfully. My foster family says I am shy and timid with good reason but they also tell me that I am the sweetest, funniest most engaging girl once I start to trust you. I will need a family that will understand they need to keep me safe and secure while I learn to trust you…please be patient with me I’ll warm up quickly.I would probably do best in a home with older considerate kids I think small active kids might be too much…I love other dogs and ignore my kitty foster siblings though.  I am doing great at learning to potty outside and my foster momma is so proud of me for that! I am crate trained and sometimes like my crate it makes me feel safe. I’m up to date on my vaccines and spayed and thankfully I am heartworm negative (I don’t know what that means but foster momma was HAPPY). My fosters love me so much but they are so excited for me to find my forever home (again I don’t know what that means but I am trusting them). If you want to adopt me and you should because I’m a really good girl please follow the link to fill out my adoption application https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SGVJMGQYApril 24, 2024, 6:08 pm

Story
Poor Chewy was brought into the county shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. He had ear and eye infections that took several weeks to treat. It seems they were left untreated for quite some time, and we have tried several different medications to get them cleared up. Our vet said, because of scarring and irritation he will need his ears cleaned and medicated regularly. The ones we were given costs around $35.00 and should last a month or two. He unfortunately does have a heart murmur and will more than likely need medications in the near future. Chewy is a loyal and affectionate companion, deeply devoted to his human. While he may be wary around large dogs, he gets along famously with smaller breeds. He enjoys cuddling on the sofa to watch TV and finds comfort in sleeping under the covers with his human. He does bark at strangers but walks well on a leash and is house trained. Chewy would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention as the only dog, with a couple or single person who can provide him with the love and affection he craves. He bonds closely with his human and prefers not to be left alone for long periods. He even met some kids at his current foster home and had no issues. Chewy is around 10 years old and weighs 15 lbs., likes to ride in the car, and is good on the leash. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and received a fecal, exam and 6 months of heartworm preventative. We do not know if he would be ok with cats or a busy home. He has been around children and was a sweet boy. He is not a fan of the crate. He will go in but will complain loudly. He also likes to sit on top of the crate and be the king. lol He is good with house manners if taken out regularly. He goes outside when prompted and will occasionally ask to go out. He does use pee pads if he is indoors. We do know he had one owner and a small male dog who was only 1.5 years old with him in his former home. Everyone who meets him says he is a sweet old man, and he would love to be the one and only with his one person. He loves to have one person and he attaches to them and loves to sleep next to you under the covers. Grandpa Chewy is located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Home visit, approved application, and adoption fee of $200 required.
