Story
Hi there! I'm Ronaldo, your future best friend. I'm still a young pup with so much love to give. My days are filled with goofy antics that will make you laugh out loud. I love playing fetch, and boy, can I chase a ball! But it's not all fun and games, I also enjoy quiet moments of cuddles. I'm the perfect balance of playful energy and sweet affection. I'm looking for a forever home where I can spread my joy and share my love. If you're in need of a loyal friend and a reason to smile every day, look no further. Adopt me and let's make beautiful memories together. I may do well with children of any age in my new home. I may also do well with other dogs in my new home after a slow introduction.Adoption Price: $400

Story
Please read completely. This is a courtesy post. Please contact Debbie at 209-607-7464 or deb0625@yahoo.com Meet Wilbur AKA WILLY. He is a beautiful 7 year old (age is a guesstimate) special needs cocker spaniel. I was found as a stray with an extreme case of glaucoma, the pain was too much ,so my eyes needed to be removed . Did you know that my blindness is much harder on you than it is for me ? Yes that’s right , my eye sight ranks third in importance compared to my smell and hearing . I pick up easily on human feelings, so even though you are feeling sad for me because that I have no eyes , I love hearing your voice as it is very soothing, so talk to me often. Play me some musics , give me squeaky toys , leave on the nature channel or just sing to me. I love all these things. I long for my forever home. Don’t get me wrong. I adore my foster mom but I need a home of my own. It would be amazing if that home had EXPERIENCE WITH BLIND DOGS SOMEONE HOME OFTEN NO CATS NO MALE DOGS NO SMALL CHILDREN One other sweet female dog would be a plus. I understand this is a huge ask ,but I know my special human /humans are out there just waiting for a handsome fellow like me . My life is not “ over “ because of my blindness I have a ton of love to give. What do you think? Would you like to be my new best friend ? I am smart but I will need you to help me to learn more about navigating with words like "Stop" - "Step up" - "Step down" - "Easy" - "Careful" -"Danger" - "Right" - "Left" etc ? Oh one more thing. If you want to adopt me and you've always enjoyed moving your furniture around, now would be a good time to pick your"favourite" layout and keep things in the same location for me. There is a ton of wonderful ideas on google that can help with a special blind doggie like me. If you are interested in knowing more about or meeting Willy please contact his foster at 209-607-7464. SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY PLEASE. Willy is being fostered through FRIENDS OF THE ANIMAL COMMUNITY in SONORA CA. *Adoption fee is sponsored by Jeanne Christoferson

Story
Hello! This is Sunny. Hes beautiful (and so very soft), loving, snuggly, and playful 8-year-old cocker that we adopted as a 1-year-old rescue after recovering from parvo. He has diabetes and receives 8-units of Vetsulin twice per day (with each meal). He is reactive to anxious dogs and people and to having strangersces near him. Unfortunately, childres faces are always near his. That last one is the biggest issue. He nipped/bit my son’s face (drew blood). From the dog’s perspective, it was a reasonable enough “back off” correction, but my son is five, and I also have a nearly three-year-old. I can’t take the risk of it happening again. I need to rehome him. He would be an amazing companion animal for someone who can lavish attention on him and has the time to play fetch with him. If someone throws the ball, he will play fetch ALL DAY LONG. He also loves to have his belly rubbed and will go into “teddy bear mode” as long as he is getting attention.

Story
Meet Pokey. Pokey joined the NorCal family when his adopted Mom passed away and his adopted Dad went into Assisted Living. Pookey is a sweet, affectionate, friendly boy. He would love to be on your lap or roaming around your backyard. Pookey definitely needs a secure, fenced yard and a home where someone is home with him the majority of the time. He would not do well in an apt. or condo. Pookey's foster mom was asked to write a profile for him. Here is what she had to say: "Pookey has been ao delightful guest. He is house trained and he loves his food, in true cocker style. He easily attaches to his human. Pookey can be a couch potato, but he loves a brisk walk in parks or in our neighborhood. Pookey loves car rides. He sometimes reacts to other dogs on leash, but he is quickly distracted. He does well with older, dog-savvy children. He has a soft mouth and never grabs treats. Pookey simply has a great big, loving personality." Pookey has been to the Vet and has a clean bill or health. He recently had cataract surgery and is excited about seeing his world through new eyes. If you are interested in Pookey, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.

Story
Meet Stanley. This precious boy came to us from the shelter. He is emaciated, skin and bones. Stanley will NOT be ready for adoption for awhile. He has been to the Vet and is being assessed for his current health issues. Stanley is a precious, loving boy that has started eating and is getting his strength back. He is affectionate and loves to be held in your arms, where he feels safe. He is starting to run around the backyard at his foster mom's home and is getting along with the other dogs. We are hoping that Stanley's health issues can be dealt with and he will be on his way to recovery.

Story
Meet Tessa. This precious little girl came to us from a shelter. She has some major medical issues and will NOT be available for adoption, anytime soon. Tessa has an amazing foster mom that is willing to take Tessa through major surgery for mammary tumors, hernia and intestinal problems. This poor little girl is very sick right now, not eating and very lethargic. However, we are determined to do everything we can for her and hope that after surgery she will be on the mend. Please keep your fingers and paws crossed for Tessa.

Story
Meet Minnie. This precious, beautiful girl came to us when her owner, due to medical issues, could no longer care for her. Her owner is heartbroken, but she knows it is the best thing for Minnie to find a new home where she can be cared for and given the best life possible. Minnie is ALL puppy and needs a lot of training and socialization. It is very important that she go to a home where she has a secure yard and someone that can be home with her the majority of the time. She will not do well in an apt. or condo or with someone that works full time. Minnie is a very active and energetic girl, she needs to go on several walks a day to learn to walk on a leash and be introduced to the outside world. She is a typical cocker and will eat anything she can get a hold of and can easily jump on a table and knows how to push the chairs out to make it easier for her. :-) Minnie can play ball for hours and has a true "energizer bunny" activity level. Minnie is potty trained, but is a little diva and does not like to get her paws wet in the rain. She gets along with other dogs, but can be a little bit jealous of others and will bark at strange dogs and people. Minnie is sweet and affectionate and in typical cocker style, just wants to be with her special person. The most important thing for Minnie, is training and taking the time she needs to grow and mature into her best self. Minnie needs someone that has experience in raising puppies. More pictures to come. If you are interested in Minnie, please fill out an adoption application on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org.
