Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.CLEOPATRA hails from Wapekeka in Northern Ontario and came south to look for a family to call her very own. What we know of her is that she was kept tied up outside of a home and just bred so she’s had a few litters but just how many, we have no idea. We have no knowledge on her parents so her breeds and the potential weight we have her listed as are mere guesses. She is spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped and has tested negative for heart worm and Lyme disease. This lovely, gentle girl is still quite timid but has come a long way since joining her foster family. It takes her a little while to warm up to people but once she does she’ll show them just how affectionate she can be.  CLEOPATRA is crate trained and will sleep quietly in it all through the night and she will also seek it out during the day as she knows it’s her safe place to be. She’s also housetrained and hasn’t had any accidents in the house as she’ll let you know when she needs to go outside for the bathroom. She’s in a foster home with 3 other dogs and they all get along great together. She loves to go on her walks but she is new to a leash so does tend to pull. This lovely girl has had a rough start in life but that’s all behind her now and we’re going to find her the perfect family that has everything she needs and more. She would best suit a quiet but active family who will take her on lots of walks and hikes so she gets the regular exercise she needs to remain a healthy girl. She travels well in a vehicle so will always be up for a drive especially if it leads to an exciting adventure for her. CLEOPATRA loves to be around her humans and will follow them around like a shadow but she doesn’t seek out affection just yet but we know she will eventually. She’ll also lay quietly beside you and is just happy knowing she’s at her humans feet. She’s just starting to play with toys and she loves to chase a ball around outside with the other dogs. She requires a fenced yard so she can play outside and be kept safe. She would like a sibling as she really enjoys romping around with the dogs in her foster home but we’re not saying she can’t be an only child either. She has a cat in her foster home and she’s never chased him but hasn’t interacted with him either so as long as a cat is dog savvy and there’s a slow, supervised introduced then we feel they can get along just fine. We recommend children aged 10 and up as she hasn’t been around any up until this point. She’s good at eating her food and treats around the other dogs and she’s learning her manners and a few commands like sit and stay for her meals.  We do require her adopter to be committed to getting her obedience/leash training in order to adopt her as it will help her be the best girl she can be.  If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle girl then CLEOPATRA is the one for and you meet her by submitting an adoption application for her. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 7:30 pm

Story
My name is Kevin and I’m a male 1-year-old Jindo mix and I've been on quite the journey. I hail from the countryside, where I was born alongside my siblings after our mother gave birth. Unfortunately, we were left abandoned and found ourselves in a shelter. Life in the shelter has been a bit challenging for me, making it take a little time for me to adapt to new surroundings. I might seem a bit shy at first, but give me a day or two, and you'll see how quickly I warm up. I love getting attention and am not shy about asking for some cuddles and affection. I've made friends with other dogs here, so you can bet that our introduction will be filled with friendly greetings and playful antics. While I might not be a pro at walks just yet, I'm cool with quiet places. Loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me, causing me to flatten myself on the ground. If you're looking for a calm companion who enjoys a nice stroll and some relaxation afterward, I'm your girl. I may have a burst of energy, but after a good walk, I'm more than happy to chill and relax. Sudden loud noises might make me jumpy, but with a patient and understanding friend like you, I know I'll become more confident. I'm ready to embark on a new adventure with a loving family or individual. Could that be you? I can't wait to bring some joy, loyalty, and a wagging tail into your life! Story
I'm Dae-bal, a 4-year-old Rough Collie and Sheepdog mix with a lush brown coat. I tip the scales at 20.55 kg and stand 60 cm tall, just the right size for big hugs and long walks. ## My Rescue Tale 🏡 My journey hasn't been the easiest—I was once neglected, but then I got a second chance at life when I was re-rescued. Now, I'm looking for a forever home where I can thrive and share all the love I have. ## A Peek Into My Heart 💖 I'm a bundle of affection, ready to nuzzle up to friends and strangers alike. I'm especially good with kids, and I'll take any treat you offer with the gentlest of mouths. ## My Social Paws 🐾 I'm the friendly sort, always up for meeting new dogs, though I prefer those who aren't too boisterous. I've shared a home with a cat, and we got along just fine—I'm all about that peaceful coexistence. ## My Adventures and Manners 🌳 I love the great outdoors, exploring and playing with a zest for life. But after adventure time, I'm all about relaxing and recharging. I walk nicely on a leash, enjoying the journey by your side. ## My Dining Etiquette 🍽️ I'm not one to fuss over my food around people, but I do tell other dogs to mind their manners when I'm eating. And barking? That's just not my style. ## A Little Request 🙏 I might get a bit worried if a larger dog gets too close, but with a little patience and understanding, I'll be just fine. I'm also learning not to be possessive over my toys and snacks, and I could use a friend to help me with that. ## Dreaming of My Forever Home 🏠 Are you the one who will give me the gentle care and patience I need? In return, I promise to be your loyal companion, your playful partner, and a source of endless affection. To see more videos:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jz316N9SNpH8fwrCcSbgaT1

Gunner | Male ♂️ | 6 Months Old | Collie Mix 🐑 | Dogs: Yes | Cats: No | Kids: Yes Dating Bio: Looking for someone who loves to have fun and enjoy the great outdoors! Adoption Bio: Gunner is a dog who loves the outdoors, especially snow! He is starting to like walks also, he needs some work, but does better when he's walking with another dog. He loves treats, sometimes his tartar Buster bones keep him busy for hours. Gunner likes attention, particularly a good belly scratch. He is a snuggle bug and enjoys sleeping in the bed at night, but when he's not sleeping, he likes to play with other dogs. Gunner will make a great member of the family and he loves to give kisses to his humans. He is very smart and eager to learn - a lot of stuff is new to him so he can be a little nervous at first but will come around as he gets used to it. He is current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, neutered and is being fostered in Exeter, ON. 📌Apply to Adopt at the link in our bio.

Leo | Male ♂️ | 6 Months Old | Collie Mix 🐑 | Dogs: Yes | Cats: Yes | Kids: Yes Dating Bio: I'm a bit of a ham, but you'll love me for it! Looking for that supporting character in my life to provide love and affection. Adoption Bio: Leo Loves attention! He enjoys playing with his toys, a game of the tug of war, playing fetch with balls and sticks, or just laying on his own and ripping a stuffy apart. He is Playful and very affectionate. Leo is so smart and treat motivated! He is incredibly loyal - he loves to cuddle and just be with his people, but he will also play a game of fetch or go on a long hike! Leo is still learning leash manners and how to act calm when coming up to people and other animals, he can be a little rambunctious and jumps up when he's excited. “Leo walks great though, when it is just us and our dog, but he is very vocal with excitement when coming up to other people and dogs,” Leo's foster parent. He is house and crate trained, he will whine a little in the crate, but settles down quickly. He is ready to learn more and more commands. Leo is so full of love, his want to be part of everything with his people shows how much he has to give and how excited he is to receive! He is current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, neutered and is being fostered in Listowel, ON. 📌Apply to Adopt at the link in our bio.

Story
Florentine weighs 22KG and is a year old. She is a sweet mix that is hard to identify. She is good with all people including children and gets along well with other dogs and cats. She is good on a leash and rides well in the car. She doesn't bark a lot so would do well in a condo or apartment. She has no food aggression and is not destructive when left alone. She would do well in a home with a dog but is also ok to be an only dog. Florentine is a sweet and sassy girl and is ready for any adventure you have planned. The love you give her she will give back 1000% in return. If you live in Canada within 3 hours of Toronto, please email our rescue for more information and an application at c4ptoronto@gmail.com.
