Story
Fostering in Tennessee Here's the link to our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/201317338010137 Our sweet girl Liberty was found as a stray in Mississippi. She is now on the search for her forever home. Something awful happened to Liberty in the past that caused her foot to be dislocated. She has seen our veterinarian and a specialist that both agree this happen a while ago. At this point, it is best to just leave it alone. While she will not be running any marathons or hiking for miles and miles at a time, she has adapted to it being that way, and gets along in life just fine. Liberty is a sweet girl that gets along with most everyone. She loves toys, treats and as many belly rubs as you can give. She is a laid-back girl that just enjoys life with her family. Liberty is house and crate trained and does pretty well with general manners. She is looking for a home that can allow her to live out the rest of her life in peace and relaxation. Our fosters and adoption coordinators are the backbone of what we do. Our fosters work tirelessly to integrate our rescue animals into their home, so that we can provide as much information to potential adopters as possible. In addition, our coordinators offer as much information regarding the medical and behavioral and personality characteristics as is known to our organization. Without them, and our extremely generous donors, we would not be able to save as many animals as we do every day. With each adoption, we operate a Pay It Forward program, whenever possible, to help other animals in our rescue and future animals in need. If you are interested in one of our animals, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture. You may also find our application on our website at www.petmatchmakerrescue.com under the Adopt page. If they are listed on our website, their adoptions have not been finalized yet. That does not mean that we have not received several applications, already. Please complete an application if you are interested and we will keep you apprised of their current status. We are all volunteers that work full-time jobs, so please be patient with us. We will get back with you as quickly as possible. If you are interested in fostering for our organization, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture.

Hello, they call me Jasper. When I first came to the shelter, I was timid, but I have really blossomed since! I love to play with the other dogs at the shelter and I LOVE when humans give me belly rubs! If you think I'd make a good companion, please come by to meet me! All animal adoptions are typically $80. For puppies and kittens under the age of 6 months, adoptions are $100. For dogs, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, heartworm testing and heartworm preventative. For cats, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter and feline AIDS/leukemia testing. All cats and kittens adopted from the Germantown Animal Shelter are not allowed to be declawed. Any questions should be directed to animalshelter@germantown-tn.gov.
