Story
This beautiful, dainty girl is a survivor. She and her brother Clyde have been on their own for far too long, running stray on the rural highways of northwestern Ohio for several months, growing increasingly emaciated, and too scared to allow anyone to bring them to safety. They both had to be humanely trapped and have found a loving, safe foster home with the kind folks who worked so hard to get them safe. Bonnie and her brother Clyde are doing so well now—they’ve slowly and steadily gained weight, are eating without the desperate voraciousness we first observed, are now up to date on vaccines, negative for heartworm and tick-borne illness, and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventive. Both also have been fixed and microchipped. They are awesome dogs, good-natured and gentle, who have gotten along well with other dogs, cats, horses, and strangers. They both still are easily frightened by any new stimuli in their environment—loud noises, for example--but are getting better every day. They love attention and long walks. In a perfect world, Bonnie and Clyde would find a home together. If that's not possible, another dog in the home is desired. A physically fenced yard is preferred. Bonnie is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Story
Dodger is one cool hound dog! Just look at that face! Dodger is smart and sweet but sassy and stubborn.  He is slowly learning commands but just wants to play and be goofy all the time. He would probably love to be a running partner with all his energy. Looking for a great co worker? Dodger will even try to help you type! He loves to go for walks, play tug, run around the yard, ride in the car, and Snuggle! DOB May 2023. Dodger is housebroken and gets along with everyone - people, dogs and cats. I am in a foster home so if you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process.  Due to the large number of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.    April 18, 2024, 7:05 pm

Dashing Dagwood! Just look at face!! Dagwood is a very sweet 2 year old Coonhound. He needs to gain a little weight and we are working on that now. He is friendly with people but a little selective with her doggie friends so he will have to meet all housemates before she's adopted. Dagwood needs some obedience training to help him be the best boy he can be! He was found in Westfield Township on 8/2/2023 with No Collar, No ID, No Microchip. He was found very near to the same area that the female Coonhound, Blondie, was found. Possibly they were running together and got separated. Since Dagwood is a stray , we don't know how he is with kids or cats. Come meet Dagwood at the Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Gilead, Ohio 419-946-1747April 12, 2024, 4:25 pm

Story
Rambo is estimated at 2-3 years old. He’s a kindhearted dog who just wants someone to love him. He loves affection and sitting in your lap. Rambo would not make an appropriate apartment dog, but doesn’t necessarily need a home out in the country. He will also need an adopter who is patient and tolerant of “hound manners”, or lack thereof. Rambo is genuinely a great dog and needs to find himself a loving home. He has done well with kids and other dogs.
