Story
Hi there, I’m a shy girl named Kora and I appear to be a Corgi/Terrier mix but my shelter records say I’m a Chihuahua mix. I mean, this is Laredo Texas, so I’m probably part Chihuahua like most other dogs around here, LOL. I am 6 years old, weigh 28 lbs, and last year I was a very pregnant stray dog when brought to the animal shelter and then to a dog rescue just in time to have 6 gorgeous puppies who grew up to be tall and beautiful like Labrador Retrievers and not one of them looked like me or anything like a Chihuahua. I was a wonderful mama, patient and loving, and although all my puppies were very social, I am still a scardy cat. Sweet and submissive, it will take me some time to come out of my shell and ask for affection, but eventually I did with my foster mom and now I’m enjoying pets and tummy rubs, sharing kisses, playing with doggy toys, and playing with the other foster dogs. Mostly I am still a couch potato, quiet and unassuming, and my foster mom says I make the perfect TV companion/sleeping buddy. I am a good girl at home, calm and well-behaved with no chewing on your things or digging in the yard, only bark to alert you to something important, and I do not guard my food or my toys. I do not have separation anxiety and am perfectly fine when home alone or with a doggy companion. I am good in a crate and completely housebroken and will use a doggy door to potty outside and I also know how to use a potty pad. I do not mind going for a ride in the car, but the leash is another story. I am nervous about being picked up and when my harness is on and a leash attached, I will usually lay down with my legs spread out like a bearskin rug and refuse to walk. I am working on this but I’m taking it slow, in baby steps, learning to build some confidence. I have come a long way since I was first found, and I’m ready enough to take that final step, leave my foster home in Texas, and find a real forever home somewhere in or near Connecticut. * We encourage you to email us your #1, #2, and #3 choices, and we will be happy to help you find a pup to complete your family! Also, please continue watching our listings as we post new dogs multiple times a week. There is no need to fill out another application, just let us know what other dogs you are interested in as they come up.

Meet Happy💜 Happy lived neglected within a fenced area of junkyard. The person who reported Happy to us was feeding Happy for a year and when the junkyard went bankrupt, the owner left and abandoned Happy. Please be Happy’s miracle and become his forever family. 🙏🏻 * He has a Jindo face with short legs just like a corgi. He is adorable and sunny. 🥰 * He's wary at first, but once he opens up, he is sweet and asks for pets. 😊 * Not very interested in the other dog friends at ADOGS Center! He only takes his own treats and doesn’t pay much attention to other dogs. He does well all around! * He has a good appetite and eats very fast. He needs help with eating slowly because he might choke and cough when he eats too fast. * He does not bark when other dogs bark 👍🏻

Story
Meet DoYou 두유🩵 (DoYou means soy milk in Korean) Right after he was born, along with his 4 siblings and his mommy, they came to Korean City Shelter. Currently, Doyou is the last one who is waiting to be adopted. He loves his pup friends and plays very gently!! His social skill is on top of top.👍🏻 When introduced to dogs he meets for the first time, he wags and sniffs gently. Doyou is curious and energetic! He's calm but also he is actually a active, adorable, and mischievous pup. At the same time, DoYou can play by himself so he can be only dog or can live with other dog siblings. When his foster family is in the living room, Doyou doesn’t stay by himself in his room but will come to sit on his foster family’s lap.❤️ *Separation anxiety: None. DoYou can sleep by himself separately. *Potty-training: He is mostly housebroken and does well on a potty pad, but sometimes poops inside!😅 *Doyou sometimes bark when hearing an unknown sound, but there is no unnecessary barking. If his foster tells him to stop, he will stop barking right away. *No separation anxiety, doesn’t make messes, no carsickness, no unnecessary barking, and has a good social skill, Doyou is a perfect pup! *Doyou can walk, bathe, let his foster to clean his ears very gently.😀 However, there is some nipping when his toenails get trimmed…🥺 *No carsickness. *So smart!! Mastered sit, wait, give a paw, spin, nose, hi five, and slow! 👍🏻(If you say slow! he will eat slowly) Possible to do “Bark low!” and “Bark loud!” *Doyou’s favorites: Ripping papers play, ball play, tug play, treats, people, walking outside, nose walk toy, doggy friends, meat treats, cooked dried pollock treats. 💙 Foster Instagram: @doyousoymilk_foster 💙 Health issues : Allergic to egg white and peanuts, has atopic dermatitis

Story
Meet Lulu :) Lulu is a mom of Lupi, Luda, and Lupong and stayed at Korea rural Shelter for an extended time and was recently rescued. We are desperately looking for a furever family where Lulu can meet her loving family just like her babies.🙏🏻 *Lulu is a lovely pup who has beautiful black hair and a million-dollar worth smile!❤‍ * Energy Level (1~10): Level 4 *Lulu can be shy at people she meets for the first time, and it will take some time to warm up, but once she warms up, she is a pup with a great personality who takes treats in a person’s hand. *No problem getting along well with other doggy friends at Adogs Center! *We tried to walk her, but she is still scared of the leash. Once she practices her walking, she will improve as time passes.🥰 *Heartworm treatment completed (Retest's needed Feb 2024)
