Story
Nikki aka Nina 1 year old 22 pound Corgi or Beagle type mix Nina was adopted from our rescue and returned at a few months old due to no fault of her own. She was adopted out again and named Nikki, then returned this week due to her owners medical condition. Nikki has received an amazing trainers report and is in a very active foster home with kids, dogs, cats, birds... she is house and crate trained and would do great in any family. Nikki has a rotated paw that doesn't seem to bother her, but she won't jump up onto high surfaces like beds. She is content with a dog bed near you. Nikki is fully vetted and ready for adoption. To add her to your family, please send us a detailed application from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com Foster location: Joppa, MD

Story
Age: 1 year Size: 25 lbs Estimated breed: Corgi/Basenji mix   Sydney was turned into the shelter as a stray, although based on her condition, we suspect she came directly from a home. She spent a few weeks at the loud, full shelter with no adoption interest, so we got her up to Pennsylvania and into a foster home!    Sydney is around 1 year old and weighs 25 lbs. She is a unique little girl with super short, stubby legs and a sturdy build. We are calling her a corgi/basenji mix, but that is only our best guess! What we DO know is that Sydney is a sweet, playful little girl who will make any family lucky to have her. She has tested well with cats and loves playing with other dogs around her size and smaller. She's pretty intimidated by dogs larger than her currently, but she may do okay with them following proper introductions and decompression. We haven't seen her with kids quite yet but we think she'd do well with them based on her sweet disposition - we can officially test her for approved adopters. She is quiet in her crate and sleeps through the night, and doing well with house training. She would love to impress her new family with her smarts in obedience training! Sydney is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. All she's missing is a family to call her own!    To adopt Sydney, please apply on our website! https://www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application   Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our dogs. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training.   PA Kennel License #18366 March 27, 2024, 10:10 am

Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permeant homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 March 27, 2024, 12:21 pm
