ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Millie also known as “Velcro” is the absolute best snuggle buddy ever! This sweet girl is great on a leash and she’s housetrained. She loves to chase the ball but hasn’t quite learned to bring it back … but when you are this cute who cares! When we first learned about Millie she had 2 adorable pups with her. Sadly an out of state rescue took her puppies and left Millie behind when they learned she was Heartworm positive. Thankfully we were able to help and since then Millie has been treated for Heartworms and spayed. She is now healthy, happy, and ready for a snuggle party with a forever family! Millie is approx 31 lbs and 2 years old. She is great with kids and other dogs. If you would like to meet Millie, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Please go to roadtrip4paws.com and click on the Adopt tab to find a link to our online application. Home visits required for all dog adoptions We reserve the right to refuse placement of an animal for any reason

Story
Mater is a 1 year old male corgi/terrier/chi mix. He is always happy and cute as a button. You can't help but smile when you see him!He takes a day to get used to new environments so give him a little time. As soon as he is used to it, he will perk right up and his personality shines through. So far he doesn't have an interest in cats. He would love to have a buddy to play with either at home or with someone you know. It takes him a minute to get used to the bigger dogs, but he comes around. He will still need a little help with the potty training, and we are waiting to get him neutered before he is available for adoption. However, don't let that stop you. We are taking applications now so don't miss your opportunity to have some sunshine in your life.Adoption fee goes toward the cost of medical care which includes vaccinations, neutering, microchip, and heart worm test (negative) If you are interested in fostering a pet , please visit our website www.shelter2rescue.org to fill out an application

Story
Bua Loi is being fostered in LA. She loves cats, and can be good with quiet, calm dogs. She has been around a rabbit and has done well. She is heart worm positive and is undergoing treatment that will extend until this spring. Bua Loi came to us from a monastery in Texas! She was not in good shape when she first arrived there, but they nursed her back to health and reached out to us. Bua Loi has been in her foster home for several months now. She enjoys spending time outside and loves to prance like a show horse! She also loves to lay in front of the window and take sun baths. She enjoys being petted and getting attention, but is also ok when she's left alone. And she loves to eat! Playing games where she has to sniff for her food is one of her favorite activities. Bua Loi loves cats! In her previous home at the monastery, she adored their cat and they would lay and cuddle with each other. In her current foster home, she spends some time in a room with their rabbit, and she does very well. She also enjoys when there are foster cats who let her cuddle. Bua Loi's foster home is working on helping her get used to having other dogs around, but she can be a nervous dog and would do best in a calm house with quiet or older dogs or cats, or as an only dog, and with a patient family to help her adjust. Please fill out an adoption application if you are interested in Bua Loi! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
I'm looking for a experienced and calm home to adopt my corgi, Zelda. She's going to be 10 years old in April and I've had her since a couple months old. Recent changes in life and relocation has put both her and myself in a stressful situation, she's not adapting well. Req/infon: She will need someone experienced/patient either with no dogs or calm dogs. Due to 2 previous interactions with dogs attacking her any dogs that are high energy or sporadic will cause issue. She will attempt to avoid and get away from stressful situations but if the dog persists to invade her space she will snap back to warn them to get away. Calm dogs she is fine with, the respectful sniff and leave alone, fine and with time with the calmer dogs she will try to initiate play. Cats: uninterested, mild curiosity Kids: Loves to play and lick kids Horses: unknown

I've got a secret to share - I wasn't always a dog. Once, I was a star, twinkling brightly in the night sky. But my curiosity got the best of me. I wanted to explore the world below. So, I wished upon a fellow star and found myself here, with paws instead of stardust. It was scary at first, but I've learned to love it. I'm a bit shy, but once I get to know you, we'll have the best time playing and learning together. My past may be magical, but what I really want is a future with you. Adopt me, and let's create our own magic together.April 16, 2024, 8:48 pm
