This sweet, small, senior pair grew up together. When their owner passed away, they were dropped off at a shelter, leaving their whole lives upended and confused. Mini is a female dachshund mix and Coco Puff is a male min pin mix. Both of these dogs are pretty perfect. They are house-trained, laid back, and really just want a home to live out the rest of their lives. Mini is a little shy at first but she warms up quickly. Both dogs are quiet and very relaxed. They do well with other dogs and even with the resident kitty. They have not been kid-tested since being with DASH, but they have not shown any concerning signs of behavior. If you are ready to have affectionate and easy-going companionship, these two could not be more perfect for you. Double your fun! Maxy is such a sweet girl and loves walks and playing with her humans and toys. She loves being outside and taking naps in the sun. She's also great on car rides and will go in a crate if needed or when she's tired. She may come off a little skittish and shy when she first meets you, but once she knows you, she is a complete love bug who loves attention and cuddles! Maxy is on prescription dog food (Hills c/d) for urinary crystals she had removed, so her new family will need to continue that diet and also need to take her out to go to the bathroom every few hours. Ginger is in The DASH Prison Training Program where she is learning her puppy manners, basic commands & what is expected of her to be a great family member. Her handler says she is a great little puppy, very smart & training well!! She has come a long way with crate training& doesn't bark or complain & has made great improvements with her potty training. Of course, she is learning all these new things in the prison setting & will need reinforcement / continued training in her new surroundings.  More training updates will come but for now, she walks on a leash, she already knows sit, down & leave it.  She is full of energy and loves to play and run with her new playmates, appears to like other dogs & all people. Ginger has not been cat or child tested by us so proper introductions are needed, ( when meeting small children, please  keep in mind she is a high energy puppy & may be a little much for the tiny tots). She is very affectionate & eager to please. This little castaway would love to have a family she could  grow up with & call her own!!  This cutie  will make a great addition to any family! She likes to cuddle and get belly rubs once she decides you're hers. She can be uneasy about new environments at first, so she needs a patient person who will let her unwind at her pace, in a quiet, welcoming home, where she will be able to relax and show her true personality which is loving and affectionate. Once Olivia is comfortable, she loves to snuggle and would be the perfect companion and lap dog. Olivia loves to play with toys and will sometimes take them to her space to keep them safe. She is good with other small dogs and cats. She has not been tested with larger dogs or small children. She listens well, she only wants to please you. She will lay on her blanket at the foot of your bed at bedtime, and as long as she can feel your leg, or hip, she settles in for the night. She is good in a crate and only howls a little because she misses you, but she has been left out of the crate for up to 3 hours with no issues. At times when she is feeling a little stressed, she will go into her crate for a while just to unwind. When meeting new people she will go into her crate, her safe space. She is good on a leash, but I recommend a harness as she is still learning, and it seems to give her guidance. She does well with potty outside and will start sniffing around or working to get your attention if she needs to go out. Her foster mom leaves a potty pad by the back door just in case, and she uses it. She does not go after things that she shouldn't like your belongings. She loves eating time and treat time.and will dance for you. Olivia is a sweet little girl once she knows you will only love her and take care of her.
