Story
UPDATE:  Sully has been with a trainer for the past few weeks and will stay a little longer to make him the best he can be. He will then be ready to find a loving home. What we have found is that Sully will need at least a 5 ft fence and regular exercise. He is great with other dogs wanting to play, fine with cats and great with kids.  He really likes kids but they must be respectful. We believe there was mistreatment by a male and he may bark at them and even back away but once he knows you are no threat he is fine. He would love another dog to play with in a new home and a family who is active and will exercise him.  .A house where there is not a lot of outside stimulus is preferred. A house set a bit off the road if possible.   Sully was originally rescued from City Dogs Cleveland after he tested positive for heartworm.  He has now gone through his full treatment and is fine.  Sully is close to 3 years old and currently 30 lbs but could lose a couple lbs.  His mix appears to be Dachshund/Terrier. Sully rides well in the car and is housetrained.  In a new environment, he wants to mark but that stops quickly.  (That is why the wrap in the photos).   If interested in Sully, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $200. March 25, 2024, 5:50 pm

Story
Henry He is the sweetest cuddle bug!!! I have never seen a dog so skilled at giving the “puppy dog eyes”. He will just look at you and then rest his head on you. He Loves his treats!! Pretty quiet but will bark if someone comes to the door. He follows you everywhere. He does not have the puppy energy but not an old man by any means. Best guest is 4 or 5 years old. Vet had no idea on breed… most likely Doxie and Lab mix, approx 30 lbs. Good with other dogs, cats, kids…. He’s pretty bomb proof. Does not do well being kenneled or left alone for any amount of time, but is well behaved when left with another dog and can roam around the house. Definitely potty trained and no longer marking now that he has been neutered. Knows basic commands and eager to please.
