Story
Little Demi has just been returned to us after having been adopted as a puppy about a year ago. Our staff Sydney is working with her and getting reacquainted after helping to care for her as a puppy. Sydney has this to say about Demi: "Demi is good on leash and has no issues going through mud and getting dirty. Very sweet personality and playful. Is shy with new people. Good with dogs and people when they go slow on introductions and respect her boundaries. Giving her space helps her feel more at ease. Demi knows basic commands such as Sit. I recently put in a squeaky ball toy, and she loves it, so she has no problem entertaining herself, and she plays with her neighbors through the kennel. She is a little bit mouthy during play with me but settles down when it's directed towards a toy." If you would like a chance to meet this special girl, c all the Ranch and arrange an appointment. Demi is staying our at our sanctuary since there is less hustle and bustle and she feels more comfortable in quiet spaces. Story
Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.   Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All puppies are also microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch.   We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required), and a portion of the cost will be refunded.   All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       April 15, 2024, 10:13 pm
