Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Columbus or Cincinnati Ohio.. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Ryder! This sweet baby girl's job is to bring a smile to everyone she meets. She loves life and her attitude is contagious! She is enrolled in our DASH Prison Training Program where she will be learning her puppy manners and basic good girl commands to get a head start on the training she will get in her new home. She will be working on basics like sit, stay down, heel but she has already learned to walk on leash, doesn't complain in her crate and is house broken. Of course, she will need a little patience and guidance while she acclimates to her new home environment.   After a short time h er handler is already completely smitten, saying his favorite  thing is how she hops around and loves to play. She loves to play with all the other dogs (and likes to vocalize when playing), loves her toys and especially loves all people. She also loves to cuddle when the time comes to settle in, so she is well on her way to being the perfect pup! She has not yet been kid or cat tested so proper intros are in line. She has been vet checked, gotten first shots and, as with all DASH pets, will be spayed as scheduling permits. If you'd like to meet her, Apply today, she won't last long!! If you're interested in adoption, the first step in our adoption process is to submit an online application from our website, www.dashanimalrescue.org Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 19, 2024, 6:24 pm

Story
Name: Mia Gender: Female Age: 8 Current Weight: 40lbs Expected Adult Size: Large (50-100 lbs) Breed: Doberman Energy Level: Low-Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog. Cat Friendly: Selective, Mia currently lives with a feline buddy but when little miss kitty hisses, Mia thinks it is time to play. Better in a home with no cats or a very relaxed cat. Kid Friendly: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence required, any height Crate Trained: Not a huge fan of her crate and will whine to begin with. She could be left alone, uncrated, she will just chill and has been not destructive. Ideal Home/Adopter: Mia is your typical Doberman so she loves to be with her people. The more your home, the better for our Mia. She loves her foster siblings, but since she’s older, she doesn’t really play a ton, just a little here and there. Likes: She loves to be next to you, behind you, or in your lap, she’s a people dog. Loves her food, loves her sweater (she gets cold easily) and long naps while you work. Dislikes: She doesn’t like her crate, she will whine to get out. She doesn’t like to be away from you, so she’ll always be in the same room. What makes this dog special: Mia is your average Doberman, sweet as can be, will be your shadow and just loves her people. She’s a very chill dog, go with the flow and as long as you’re with her, she’s a happy girl. Mia 's adoption fee is $195. She is part of our Seniors for Seniors program ($65 for adopters 65+). All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in Mia apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1987387##
