Odin is a sweet cuddly boy. He is 14 months old,and has tons of energy. Regular exercise is required, as Dobermans are smart, active dogs. Very athletic. He needs a new home because of a badly broken leg. My leg, not his...lol He comes with an extra large crate, leashes, collars, toys etc.

Story
Snoopy is a cute 6-month old male Doberman Pinscher/Terrier mix who was surrendered by his owner on September 22, 2023 because he didn't have the time to give him the quality time that Snoopy deserved because of his owner's work schedule. Snoopy has a dark tan short smooth coat, black shading on his long tail, and an adorable face with hopeful trusting eyes, a light tan mask, a black button nose on his slender muzzle, and short semi-erect ears. His previous owner told us that Snoopy is ok with older children. He is NOT good with small children or with cats. Snoopy has been kept indoors and is crate-training. He was spending 10-12 hours in his crate because of his owner's new job/schedule. Snoopy is 95% housetrained. Snoopy weighs 35 lbs. Snoopy was neutered on June 29, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine. He is up-to-date on vaccinations and has tested negative for heartworm and Lyme disease. These photos were taken on September 25, 2023 when HSOV Humane Officer Fredley Tynan spent time outdoors with Snoopy for his Petfinder/Facebook/Adoptapet pictures. Snoopy was full of playful energy and thoroughly enjoyed his out-of-kennel time with Fredley. He was a pushover for 'good boy' treats and loved them .. But what he loved most of all was attention from Fredley.

She is a wonderful dog. She knows how to sit and shake. She does still have a problem with play bitting and jumping on people. She is a little timid and shy around people but will warm up to a new person fast.

Story
Name: Mia Gender: Female Age: 8 Current Weight: 40lbs Expected Adult Size: Large (50-100 lbs) Breed: Doberman Energy Level: Low-Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog. Cat Friendly: Selective, Mia currently lives with a feline buddy but when little miss kitty hisses, Mia thinks it is time to play. Better in a home with no cats or a very relaxed cat. Kid Friendly: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence required, any height Crate Trained: Not a huge fan of her crate and will whine to begin with. She could be left alone, uncrated, she will just chill and has been not destructive. Ideal Home/Adopter: Mia is your typical Doberman so she loves to be with her people. The more your home, the better for our Mia. She loves her foster siblings, but since she’s older, she doesn’t really play a ton, just a little here and there. Likes: She loves to be next to you, behind you, or in your lap, she’s a people dog. Loves her food, loves her sweater (she gets cold easily) and long naps while you work. Dislikes: She doesn’t like her crate, she will whine to get out. She doesn’t like to be away from you, so she’ll always be in the same room. What makes this dog special: Mia is your average Doberman, sweet as can be, will be your shadow and just loves her people. She’s a very chill dog, go with the flow and as long as you’re with her, she’s a happy girl. Mia 's adoption fee is $195. She is part of our Seniors for Seniors program ($65 for adopters 65+). All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in Mia apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1987387##

Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Columbus or Cincinnati Ohio.. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted.
