Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.11/28/23 Milly is a 3 year old Doberman mix who had to be surrendered when her family became homeless. She is an incredibly kind, loving dog, who just wants a family. This dog cried like I have never seen when her family had to leave her. It was the saddest day of her life and she still doesn't understand. We promised her it will all be ok and there's another family out there who will love her just as much. Milly was extremely attached to the young children in her family, one being an infant. She was glued to them, and we would really love for her to be adopted by another family with kids, but that is not necessarily a requirement. Milly is housetrained. She did have some pretty bad separation anxiety the first couple of days in her foster home but that is better now. It is something an adopter needs to be aware of until she gets adjusted to her new home. We do recommend crating her when the family is gone, to avoid any mishaps with her chewing things she shouldn't. Milly is excellent with other dogs as well as cats. In fact, she wants to cuddle them all. She will take any cuddles she can get, whether it's other pets, or humans. She is just a very affectionate lady. Please help us find Milly another family to love. Let's please not be unkind to this family. They truly tried to keep her. But it came down to surrendering her or they would all be on the streets. With young kids and a baby, that is a tough call, and they did the right thing by surrendering her to a rescue. Milly is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm neg, and on prevention. She weighs about 60lbs. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am FridaysPort Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. 🙏Moose Needs a Foster 🙏 Moose is a VERY handsome, very sweet Doberman mix! He is 1 years old and good with dogs and kids! He is Neutered and fully vetted. Moose has 1 issue that he needs to work on… he has some food aggression with the plastic hand tester. We are looking for an experienced foster who knows how to feed dogs separately and to help us work on Moose’s feeding manners. We have Video of Moose playing amazingly well with a group of doggies. We also have video of his reaction to his food test. We be with the right support and the right Foster or foster to adopt, Moose will make an amazing addition to the family! No small children due to his food guarding and no cats! We hope to find the right hero with a big HART to help us save this Handsome Dobie! Apply and share www.hindeanimalsafehaven.org

Story
Meet Moose, a 1 year 8-month-old STUNNING Doberman Pinscher in search of his forever home! Moose is black and tan and 85 pounds or pure muscle. His ears are cropped (one stands straight and the other is adorably floppy) and his tail is docked. He is microchipped, housebroken, and up to date on all his vaccines. He is currently being cared for by the Doberman Pinscher Rescue of PA. Moose is everything you could ask for in a Doberman; Loyal, intelligent, driven, and devoted. He has taken many training classes and excels in obedience, knowing sit, stay, down, leave it as well as fun tricks like spin and paw! While Moose is a very well-trained Doberman, it is imperative that his new owner understand large working breeds. Moose tends to become easily overstimulated and does not know how to direct his energy; therefore, displaying reactivity to unfamiliar dogs and possibly people. He will need continued guidance from an owner who is dedicated to keeping up with an active, structured lifestyle. Ideal adoption candidates will have hands-on experience with Dobermans (preferably European lines) or large working dogs. Ideal home environments will have a large, fenced in yard in a quieter neighborhood. We are recommending a home with no small children or other animals. Moose is not the dog for your average owner, however, those who appreciate and have experience with working breeds, may have just found their perfect companion! If you think that Moose would be a great addition to your family, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DPR/Dog to fill out an adoption application!

Story
Hi, my name is Bruno and I'm not exactly sure what has happened but the good folks at DPRPA tell me I'm here waiting for a new family. I had a family that I really loved but when my dad was deployed things went downhill. Next thing I knew I was at a shelter and told my time was limited. Thankfully, the rescue made room for me, and I hope they are right when they say there's a family out there that will love me forever. Bruno is a 2 year old red boy with velvet soft, natural ears. When his male owner was deployed, he found himself wearing a prong and correction collar 24-7. This left him with a very sore and infected neck, thankfully the shelter removed his collars and quickly treated his badly infected neck. The shelter reported that Bruno had been on his absolute best behavior and was very sweet and happy for all those he encountered, so they felt he was a good candidate to transfer to a rescue for placement in a new home. Bruno made several new canine friends while at the shelter and was fully vetted before making his trip to the rescue. He is now ready to find a permanent place to call his own and is currently located in New Ringgold, PA. If you think this jolly fella may be for you, please apply at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DPR/Dog
