Story
Animal Profile: Copper is an estimated 3-year-old, 80 lb neutered male Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. He was originally picked up as a stray in Georgia and joined us from via Project Freedom Ride. He was evaluated to be very friendly with dogs and people. Foster Update: Copper is young and full of energy, but it's easy to wear him out with some exercise. He loves to chase balls, although he is still working on returning and dropping them. Copper can be cautious around new people, but once he warms up to them (or they give him a treat), he is very affectionate. He is able to make friends with other dogs after slow and proper introductions. With a confident handler, Copper doesn't react much to other dogs when on leash. He likes to lead but does not pull on walks. Adopter Profile: Single family dwelling with a securely fenced yard. No cats or small animals. Large breed experience and breed experience a plus!  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/Bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue. Apply online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was picked by animal control in GA and transported via Project Freedom Ride to Seattle.  He arriving here on 10/22/22 and has been in foster care for nearly a year.  He is eager to find his forever home and is available for adoption.April 19, 2024, 2:21 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Tink is a 4-month-old Doberman that was found wandering as a stray. This poor puppy weighs only 12lbs, and we’re desperate to get her some groceries! Despite obvious neglect and an abscessed tooth, Tink in playful and friendly. This resilient little girl definitely deserves a safe spot to land here in Seattle.  Foster Update: Tink is everything a Doberman puppy should be: smart, loving, loyal, and a little bit (sometimes a lotta bit) sassy. Tink is doing great on house and crate training. Her fosters are helping her get acclimated to a leash, and learn basic manners. Tink is a typical Velcro dobe - she loves to be with you wherever you are. This puppy will make wonderful companion to the right family! Tink will need continued socialization, training, and a good diet in her forever home. With her current size, we anticipate she’ll be on the petite side of the breed. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Madera Animal Shelter and arriving to Seattle area foster care on 03/17. This dog is fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.April 19, 2024, 2:21 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Rose and Sadie were found abandoned in Cheney, WA in 2020. They were rescued by a loving family and have been in a home ever since. Unfortunately, one of their owners suffered a life-alternating medical emergency that resulted in massive brain surgery. This person now requires round-the-clock care, and the dogs need a new place to call home. When we heard their story, we had to help! Rose and Sadie are both dog friendly and have lived with large and small dogs, as well as gone to doggy daycare. They are house and crate trained, and true to the breed would like to be your constant shadow. Rose and Sadie have been around children ranging from toddlers to teens. Rose can get a little tired of the small ones and will excuse herself to a crate if she’s done interacting. Sadie would love nothing more than to permanently attach herself to the kids. Rose and Sadie have lived together since 2020 and, while not required, we would consider a same-household adoption for these girls.  Foster Update: Coming soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, health certificate, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History:  is currently being fostered in the greater Seattle area and will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.April 19, 2024, 2:21 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Ashley is an estimated 2-year-old Doberman mix that weighs 67lbs. She’s coming from Apple Valley Animal Services, where she was assessed to be friendly with people and dogs, and very well mannered on leash. We couldn’t let this gorgeous girl sit in a shelter where she was at risk, so she’s heading to Washington to start a new life. We are excited to get to know her in foster care and help her find her happily ever after.  Foster Update:  Sweet Ashley has blossomed in foster care and is ready to find her forever home.  She is fostered in a home with a toddler and is gentle and respects the child’s space. She gets along excellent with the resident dogs as well as other dogs she has met on property. She loves to play but also knows when it is time to relax and coexist calmly. Ashley has moderate prey drive so understanding how to redirect her excitement toward small animals and fulfilling her prey drive will be necessary. She loves to go on walks and adventure and settles really nicely in the home. She is motivated by food, play, and affection!  Ashley would do well in an active home who will continue her training and provide her with structure and exercise. She could easily go to a home with children. She would love a canine companion but it’s not required. Ashley has not been cat tested at this time Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current on DPPV & Bordetella. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter in Apple Valley, California and being transported via START, arriving to Seattle area foster care 3/14/2024. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.April 19, 2024, 2:21 pm

Story
Ivy's an active, playful, and smart 3-month-old Doberman Pinscher ready for her fresh start! This cutie is looking for a family that can give her plenty of daily play, exercise, mental enrichment, and socialization. Ivy will probably make an excellent hiking buddy or running partner. Ivy does well with other dogs, but we don't know if she's ever lived with cats. Any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. Ivy can be sensitive to handling and is looking for a home with just dog-experienced teens and adults. Due to her breed and future size, she may not be a good fit for an apartment or condo. If you're ready to welcome home this precious pup, send in an adoption application today!
