SPECIAL NEEDS Melody is a staff and volunteer favorite! She's extremely friendly and believes she is a lap dog, despite being almost 60 pounds. Melody is deaf and will need training in hand signals. (which our volunteers are already hard at work on!) She would prefer to be the only dog, but she can coexist with another neutral dog. We don't know how she feels about cats or other small animals. Meatball is a super neat dude! he is an 11 month old male Dogo Argentino. Meatball has a very genuine temperment, he is a major lover. Not only that, he can add an 8 week board to his resume. He is crate trained, house trained and has advanced training under his belt. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. he would do best in a house that is more active or has a fenced backyard , because he is a young dog and the dogo breed is an active one. We do not adopt these breeds to homes with dogs of the same sex and we feel that Meatball would be his happiest self in a home with a larger female dog or by himself. He is great with kids and adults alike! all applicants must apply using our adoption application found on our website at www.westcoastcanecorsorescue.org

XO is approved for kids and grandkids age 5 and over and he may do well with other dogs in his new home with a slow introduction. XO checks off all your boxes, too. He recently spent a 3-night sleepover with one of our foster couples in their Sun City home. They discovered that XO is a sweet, gentle, and loving companion. He met their neighbor's dogs on the first morning and enjoyed his daily morning walks with these dogs. He even play-bowed and flirted with the younger dog, proving this old dog can make new friends. XO is 100% house-trained, he went potty in the backyard and also on his neighborhood walks. He enjoys cuddling on the sofa, going for car rides, sunning himself in the backyard, and meeting new people. XO was well-behaved in the car, enjoying sniffing the air when the window was rolled down a few inches. He easily hopped into the back seat of the car. XO slept through the night curled up at the foot of the bed, and also used the dog bed in the bedroom.
